Jeremy Renner has been reunited with his dog Hemi.
The actor, 42, had offered a $5,000 reward after the French bulldog – one of two Renner adopted last year – went missing near his L.A. home on July 19. But an update posted Thursday on the Hemi Missing Frenchie Facebook page reveals that "Hemi is back where he belongs!"
"The story is totally convoluted so we don't (and will never) know what actually happened, but he was with a family in Visalia, CA (200 miles away)," the post says.

Jeremy Renner is willing to shell out $5,000 to get his dog back – no questions asked.
Hemi, one of two French bulldogs the actor brought home last year, went missing near L.A.'s Runyon Canyon on July 19, and Renner has launched a Facebook campaign to get his beloved buddy back.
"5,000 Reward, Lost Dog," screams a missing sign posted on the HemiMissingFrenchie Facebook page, created July 24. The poster lists identifying details about the neutered male, who was last seen wearing a collar but has no microchip or tag. Sadly, it also says the "very friendly," 25-lb. pup is in need of medication for a hip condition.

"Oh, I do that every day. It was a fence to keep the adventurous puppies in. And last thing I fixed was a sprinkler head at home right before leaving for New York to make sure everything got watered properly. Real sexy, isn't it?"
Jeremy Renner tells PEOPLE about his last home improvement, an enclosure for his two new French bulldogs. The four-legged additions to Renner's family came following the unfortunate death of another dog.
