Modern Family Stars Stuck In Elevator

It was a Friday night to remember for a few members of the Modern Family cast – they spent an hour of it trapped in an elevator.
Eric Stonestreet, Julie Bowen and Jesse Tyler Ferguson were on their way to headline a fundraiser for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Kansas City – Stonestreet's hometown – when the elevator at the Sheraton Kansas City Hotel at Crown Center stopped.

Jesse Tyler Ferguson Gives a Wedding Planning Update

Wedding bells will soon be ringing for Modern Family actor Jesse Tyler Ferguson and his fiancé, lawyer Justin Mikita.
The couple is getting married this summer.
"We are in the middle of wedding planning. It's a process, but it's been a lot of fun," Ferguson told PEOPLE at Wednesday's Tie the Knot spring collection celebration party in New York.
Fortunately for Ferguson, who got engaged to Mikita last July while vacationing in Mexico, the stresses of preparing for the big day have not taken a toll on him.

Sure, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, who plays Mitchell to Eric Stonestreet's Cam on ABC's Modern Family, may look like they are standing under a wedding canopy in this photo Ferguson posted to his WhoSay account, but the actor also included this caption: "It's not what it looks like. Or is it? Guess you'll have to wait to find out!"

Jesse Tyler Ferguson is basking in the joy of being engaged to lawyer Justin Mikita.
"It's very exciting," the Modern Family actor, 36, told PEOPLE Sunday on the red carpet at the 64th Primetime Emmy Awards. "We're very excited about it."
Now comes the next step: the wedding. "We've been engaged since July, so we're just kind of enjoying that," Ferguson says. "We're going to start planning soon."

Jesse Tyler Ferguson is heading down the aisle.
The Modern Family star is engaged to his boyfriend, lawyer Justin Mikita, the actor has revealed.
"It's true, I popped the big Q," Ferguson says in a video posted on the website for the newly created foundation Tie the Knot, which supports the fight for marriage equality.
"I said yes!" Mikita answers in the clip.
Ferguson, 36, and Mikita, 27, who have been dating for nearly two years, hope their union will eventually be considered official nationwide.

Modern Family's Jesse Tyler Ferguson and boyfriend Justin Mikita took in a performance of The Beatles LOVE by Cirque du Soleil at The Mirage in Las Vegas on Saturday night.
Accompanied by a small group of friends, the couple attended LOVE as part of a birthday celebration for Mikita.
"They kept it low-key by ordering a few Fiji waters to sip on during the show," a source tells PEOPLE.
Afterwards, Ferguson, Mikita and their friends went backstage to meet the cast and crew.
It's all part of Mikita's "birthday week" celebration, as Ferguson Tweeted, sharing a photo of his beau with a festive birthday treat.

Tears were streaming during So You Think You Can Dance Wednesday – even before two more dancers were sent home.
The night turned emotional early on, when, with his Swiss parents in the audience for the first time, ballet dancer Cheyon Wespi-Tschopp took to the stage for his solo. "You have to remember these dancers are kids who have dreamed of doing this their whole life," guest judge Jesse Tyler Ferguson told PEOPLE after Wednesday’s show. "They grew up far away from L.A. and then are transplanted here. I think it is overwhelming for them."
