American Idol's lucky seven had a mostly fantastic night on Wednesday. But when everyone does well, it only makes elimination night harder.
"I'm always worried, Ryan, when it gets to this point in the competition," Randy Jackson told host Seacrest at the beginning of Thursday's results show. "I got to be honest with you – I said it last night – nobody's safe."
It's true that top contenders at this point in the competition have been eliminated. It happened to Jennifer Hudson, who performed "Think Like a Man" with Ne-Yo on Thursday. Then again, it also happened to Sanjaya Malakar.
So who's still in the competition and whose fate was put into the hands of the judges, who have yet to use their one save of the season? Keep reading to find out ...

Skylar Laine had her best performance so far – according to Randy Jackson – on American Idol Wednesday when she sang her '80s selection "Wind Beneath My Wings" and performed a duet with her competitor Colton Dixon.
On Thursday, the pair – along with the rest of season 11's top 8 contestants – faced another elimination.
But first, there was some business to take care of: Ryan Seacrest checked in with Joshua Ledet, who said he wasn't feeling well, and Jennifer Lopez's sexy new video with boyfriend Casper Smart debuted.
Ryan asked, "Was there any special chemistry on the set of this video with you and any of the dancers?" Jennifer blushed, giggled and dodged the question.

It was '80s night on Wednesday's episode of American Idol. But did it matter that most of the top eight weren't old enough to even to sing a note when their song choices were popular?
Not if you're Joshua Ledet, Jessica Sanchez or Skylar Laine.
As the competitors face elimination Thursday night, Ledet, Sanchez and Laine should easily be safeguarded. Ledet (singing Simply Red's "If You Don't Know Me By Now") and Sanchez (tackling Whitney Houston's "How Will I Know") brought predictably excellent performances, with judges giving Ledet another standing ovation and praising Sanchez for her "powerhouse vocals."

What happens when wannabe idols take on the music of their own idols?
On Wednesday's episode of American Idol, the top nine contestants tackled tunes by their heroes, bringing out some of the most inspired performances so far this season – as well as a bevy of standing ovations from the judges.
Jennifer Lopez, Randy Jackson and Steven Tyler were out of their seats and clapping for Heejun Han, DeAndre Brackensick, Phillip Phillips, Joshua Ledet and Elise Testone. "This is too much," Jennifer said. "It's funny, we're standing up too much tonight. It's crazy. You guys are doing amazing."
