The Bachelor Celebrates 25 Seasons

The Bachelor's current star, Sean Lowe, was joined by past franchise favorites on Jan. 11 to celebrate 25 seasons of the hit ABC reality dating show.
The Texas hunk clinked glasses at the famed Agoura Hills, Calif., Bachelor mansion with series creator Mike Fleiss and past Bachelorettes Ali Fedotowsky, Trista Sutter, Jillian Harris, DeAnna Pappas and the show's most recent star, Emily Maynard.
Also on hand were former Bachelor Jason Mesnick and his wife, Molly, who is expecting the couple's first child in March, as well as former contestants Courtney Robertson, Michael and Stephen Stagliano, Erica Rose and Casey Shteamer.

Julien Hug Committed Suicide, Family Says

Julien Hug had explained it all to his loved ones.
"In his letter to us he stated that he was suffering from acute depression and he felt it was his only way out," the parents of the The Bachelorette contestant tell PEOPLE in a statement. "While publicly outgoing he was an extremely private person who internalized everything."
Confirming that Hug, 35, committed suicide earlier in the week in a remote area, Bertrand and Denise Hug say, "We feel it is necessary at this time to address the media as we are devastated by some of the comments that are coming out."
Julien died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound, a family spokeswoman says. In addition to leaving a note for his parents, he left letters for his coworkers and his girlfriend.
"Our son meant the world to us and this came as a complete shock," his parents say. "We are beyond devastated and completely distraught. … What we saw was his thirst for life with fast cars, motorcycles and his love of skydiving."

Julien Hug's Death Mystery Deepens

As rumors flood the Internet of how Julien Hug died, police maintain it's still too early for an official determination and that the case of the Bachelorette contestant found dead in a remote national forest remains under investigation.
"All possible causes are being looked into," Riverside County, Calif., Sheriff Deputy Melissa Nieburger tells PEOPLE.
Police confirmed Thursday that Hug's body was discovered in the San Bernardino National Forest. Other than saying no foul play was suspected, authorities have released little additional information.

No Foul Play Suspected in Death of Bachelorette's Julien Hug

Julien Hug's body was found in such a remote area that police used a helicopter to reach him and had to wait overnight to recover the body, authorities said Thursday.
Although an official cause of death is pending a coroner's investigation, authorities are "handling the incident as a death investigation where no foul play is suspected," says the Riverside County Sheriff's Department.
After a missing person investigation was launched, authorities received information Wednesday that Hug, 35, may have been in or near the vast San Bernardino National Forest in Southern California.

Bachelorette Contestant Julien Hug Found Dead

Julien Hug, who had vied for Jillian Harris's love on Season 5 of The Bachelorette, was found dead off a highway in the Southern California desert.
The San Diego man, 35, was on his way to help his family manage their newest restaurant in Palm Desert, Calif., when he went missing Monday, his father, Bertrand Hug, tells KGTV San Diego.
"I am completely heartbroken for the Hug family, and my whole heart goes out to them today as they mourn a precious life that ended far too soon," Harris said in a statement. "It’s very difficult to find the words to express my condolences, but I will always remember Julien’s gentle demeanor and kind heart, which will be sadly missed."
Riverside County Sheriff's Department Deputy Melissa Nieburger confirms that the body of a "deceased male adult" was found at 11 a.m. Wednesday in an unincorporated area called Pinyon Pines.
