What a difference a year makes.
Last year, Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar, of TLC's 19 Kids and Counting, were devastated when their baby daughter, Josie, was born at only 25-weeks-old via emergency C-section on Dec. 10, weighing a mere 1 lb, 6 oz.
"This baby is so small, I don't think she can survive," Michelle told PEOPLE at the time.
A year later, Josie is celebrating her first birthday, laughing, playing and clapping at a healthy 15 lbs., 12 oz. "She's waving hello and goodbye," says Michelle. "She's saying da-da … Her outlook is so wonderful. It is a miracle."
According to Michelle, Josie is doing well developmentally, though she continues with monitoring and receiving oxygen when she sleeps.

Josie Duggar spent the first six months of her life hospitalized with a life-threatening illness, but Jim Bob and Michelle's 19th child is now healthy and doing better than her family could have hoped.
"She's laughing, playing and drooling on everything," Michelle says.
Josie, who was born at only 25 weeks on Dec. 10 via emergency C-section, weighed only 1 lb., 6 oz., at birth. She now weighs 15 lbs., and is thriving at 11 months old.

Another day, another Duggar: Come next summer, Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar will double their number of grandchildren.
Josh Duggar, the eldest Duggar offspring in the reality-show family on TLC's 19 Kids and Counting, and his wife, Anna, 22, will welcome their second child in June 2011.
"It was awesome to get the news," says Josh, also 22. He and Anna already have a daughter, Mackynzie, who turned a year old on Oct. 8.
"I showed Josh the positive pregnancy test on Mackynzie's birthday," says Anna. "It was fun to announce it to everyone on that already happy day."

Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar have always been open about their willingness to have children. But when the devout Baptists and stars of TLC's 19 Kids and Counting faced the catastrophic aftereffects of their 19th child's premature birth, many assumed they might be done.
But now the couple – who only recently brought baby Josie home after being hospitalized for six months as she recovered from a perforated bowel and rare digestive problems – say they are ready to consider a 20th child.
"Our family is stronger than ever," Jim Bob, 45, tells PEOPLE in its new issue. "We made it through the storm."

It's at last one big, happy Duggar family – emphasis on big.
Josie, the 19th child born to Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar, returned to their busy house last week after spending most of the first six months of her life in a neonatal intensive care unit where she fought for her life after being born dangerously premature.
Although the baby was released from Arkansas Children's Hospital in Little Rock on June 3, her homecoming was delayed because 12 of her siblings got the chicken pox and had to be separated from her. Josie spent three weeks with her mother in a rental house near the hospital until the other children recovered back home with dad.

It was the most long-awaited hospital departure of Michelle Duggar's experience as a mother of 19.
Josie Brooklyn Duggar, the youngest child born to Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar of TLC's 19 Kids and Counting, returned to her Arkansas home Thursday after her second hospitalization in her brief life.
"We're so happy that she's doing so well," Michelle tells PEOPLE. "She's finally home, home, home."
Josie was born on Dec. 10 at a gestational age of only 25 weeks, weighing 1 lb. 6 oz., after Michelle's life-threatening preeclampsia (pregnancy-related high blood pressure) forced an emergency C-section.
