Jim Carrey says the kissing scenes in his latest film, I Love You Phillip Morris, had at least one important thing going for them: Major chemistry.
"I mean, look at the guy. I have to say, he is a great kisser," Carrey, 48, tells Parade of his smooches with costar Ewan McGregor.
That's not to say Carrey – who plays an incarcerated man who falls in love with a fellow inmate – wasn't warned about potential problems with kissing a man.

Jenny McCarthy has figured out the key to a happy relationship with new boyfriend Jason Toohey: honesty – and lots of it.
"I have been so open and truthful in this relationship – it is amazing," she tells PEOPLE at a signing of her new book, Love, Lust & Faking It: The Naked Truth About Sex, Lies and True Romance, Friday at Miami's Epic Hotel.
"If he wants Chinese [food] and I don't, I say it," she says. "If he wants to go out and I want to stay in and watch Dancing with the Stars, I tell him so … Sometimes we both want to play poker and we have a blast at home."
Adds McCarthy, 37, "Our relationship is stronger because of the honesty."

Jenny McCarthy is known for making her life an open book.
True to form, in her newest work, Love, Lust and Faking It: The Naked Truth About Sex, Lies and True Romance, the actress offers her candid, no-holds-barred take on love and sex. But there is one topic that's off-limits in the book: her five-year relationship with Jim Carrey.
"I just have to respect his privacy," she tells PEOPLE. "There were broken hearts on both sides."
Still, she reveals that she learned a lot from the romance. "What I got out of that relationship was a lot about self-love," she says. "It's about being happy."

Emmys and Oscars, move over: Today's celebs are raking in the Internet accolades as well. Brad Pitt and Jim Carrey lead a veritable who's who of Hollywood favorites at this year's Webby Awards, hosted by B.J. Novak of NBC's The Office.
Pitt's big win is in the activism category for his Make It Right foundation, which he launched in 2007 to help rebuild New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina. Carrey garnered both a Webby and a people's voice award for his visually stunning official fan site that boldly showcases his unique creativity and trippy humor.
Recognizing achievements in more than 70 categories, including Web sites, online videos and films, blogs and other segments of digital culture, the 14th annual Webbys are considered the Oscars of the online world.

Having insisted on Sunday night that fans should not be concerned about his behavior – "This is no breakdown! It's a breakthrough! And if you'll just loosen these straps, I'll show you the difference!" he Tweeted – Jim Carrey may now have hoisted a new red flag.
In what is being labeled as a response to the press coverage of his recent Tweets, Carrey released a statement, which he also posted: "To anyone whose grievances have chosen me as their cause, I would say first, that I recognize that tendency in myself, but if you knew me well, you'd see that your resentment has been misplaced. I wish every human being nothing but love and immeasurable happiness. Now, I'm going to re-enter the Twitter stream and see if there is anyone left to offend!"
Tuesday night brought another explosion of Carrey Tweets, all of which follow his recent breakup with Jenny McCarthy.

Jim Carrey's relationship with Jenny McCarthy isn't the only thing that's in the past. So too, he says, is a part of himself he's happy to shed.
"I have freed Truman at long last!," Carrey wrote in an explosion of post-breakup Tweets, referring to his alter-ego from The Truman Show whose entire life was surreptitiously filmed for a reality show.
"I am grateful for my avatar's many yrs of dedicated service, but no one has ever won the Tour De France while back peddling. … so I killed him," he wrote late Sunday night. "I do not plan 2 bow to expectations or to be confined by the fear of losing altitude in the 'statusphere'! (my word)."
