On the top floor of the Empire State Building, in a ceremony officiated by dear friend Joan Rivers – who got ordained online for the occasion – the couple married in a dazzling King Kong-themed extravaganza.

Who Should Replace Gilbert Gottfried as Voice of Aflac Duck?

Wanted, one duck.
When Aflac announced it was giving Gilbert Gottfried the boot for his disrespectful Tweets about the Japanese tsunami, it created an immediate job opening for someone with a distinctive talent.
According to reports, Aflac will start a nationwide casting search, and already some frontrunners are being mentioned.
Fran Drescher, for one, has a trademark laugh and Gottfried's nasal tone, while Joan Rivers posses a loud, raspy voice.
Then there's Sofia Vergara. She's not only loud, but a recent Modern Family episode suggested she can already squawk like a bird.

Joan Rivers: I'll Go Easy on Lindsay Lohan – If She Stays Sane
Originally posted 08/25/2010 11:35AM
Joan Rivers may have hassled Lindsay Lohan about jail and rehab via Twitter, but the comedienne is willing to put all jokes aside – for now.
"I pray that they don't get her out [of rehab] early, and that maybe the 90 days will do something," Rivers, 77, told PEOPLE a few days ago. (Lohan was released on Tuesday, after more than three weeks.) "Get her well, you idiots. ... There's really nothing funny."
Rivers also plans to go easy on Lohan. "I'll be nice – until she does the first insane thing, which will probably be 20 minutes after she's out. But you can hope that it won't be," she says.

"Joan Rivers and her 'stargument' make me believe that she and Michael Lohan are a match made in heaven," she Tweeted Tuesday, about the comedian and her dad, with whom she's had a rocky relationship.

Samantha Ronson Defends Lindsay Lohan – Against Joan Rivers
Originally posted 07/10/2010 01:30AM
Lindsay Lohan's ex, Samantha Ronson, has kept quiet on her former girlfriend's looming jail sentence – until Joan Rivers got involved.
On Friday, the sharp-tongued Rivers took to her Twitter to slam Lohan in a series of scathing Tweets.
"Lindsay Lohan is so dumb. Her idea of being sworn in is cursing at the judge," wrote Rivers, in reference to the star's four-letter-word manicure.
She also slammed Lohan's well-documented partying – "I was just reading about the new Lindsay Lohan diet, which is all liquid. 80 proof" – and referenced the judge who delivered her 90-day sentence. "Lindsay Lohan had 'F-ck you' painted on her nails. What people don't know is that the judge had 'Eat me you party skank,' painted on hers."

Which 'Golden Gal' Should Host SNL?
Originally posted 05/12/2010 09:45AM
Following the success of Betty White's SNL hosting gig, bookers at NBC might be hoping to have another senior moment.
And while it would be tough to top White's digs at Facebook, double entendres about her muffin and her racy kiss with MacGruber, Hollywood has more than its fair share of women who are over 60 and up for the job.
In fact, a Carol Burnett Facebook campaign has sprung up – it worked for Betty, after all. But as The New York Times points out, Burnett should be in no rush. This coming weekend will bring the SNL season finale, to be hosted by Alec Baldwin.

Haunted This Halloween? Call a Real Ghostbuster!
Originally posted 10/31/2009 07:30AM
While the brand new movie Paranormal Activity is, er, knocking 'em dead at the box office, other ghostly spirits have been haunting us for centuries – and not all of them should be welcomed with open arms, according to experts.
Appearing on a special Halloween edition of CNN's Larry King Live Friday, a host of ghosthunters, paranormal activists and psychics – as well as ghost victim Joan Rivers and Ghostbusters star Dan Aykroyd and his séance authority father, Peter Aykroyd – debunked the disbelievers, often with jaw-dropping stories.
Rivers delivered a seriously convincing account about how a malicious spirit was haunting her New York apartment – keeping the place cold, causing havoc with the electrical power and scaring her dogs from entering the residence. When she told her elevator man what was going on, he said, "Sounds like Mrs. Spencer [the former occupant] is back."
"I used to say, this is stupid, this is nonsense," Rivers said of her unseen but clearly felt visitor. Then, "at one point, you cannot say this anymore. Something is going on here."
