The Jonas Brothers are canceling their tour – two days before it was set to begin, PEOPLE has learned. The reason?
"There is a deep rift within the band," their spokesman, Jesse Derris, tells PEOPLE exclusively. "There was a big a disagreement over their music direction."
Over the weekend, an argument between the trio – Nick, 21, Joe, 24, and Kevin, 25 – regarding the direction of the band and its music led to the decision to cancel their 19-date tour, which was to kick off Friday.
Ticket holders' money will be refunded.

Whether on- or offstage, the Jonas Brothers have always presented a united front. But there's apparently one topic that spurs dissention in the ranks: Miley Cyrus.
In the latest issue of Out magazine, the siblings – Kevin, 25, Joe, 24, and Nick, 21 – tackle a variety of buzzy subjects, but when the conversation veers toward the controversial "Wrecking Ball" singer, the brothers aren't quite on the same page.

Watch out, Winston! Looks like Joe Jonas has eyes for another dog.
Days after his brother Nick showed off some serious abs in an Instagram pic, his older brother, who turns 24 on Aug. 15, followed suit – but with one furry difference.
Covering what appears to be his exposed torso, the middle JoBro shared a funny photo of himself going bug-eyed like his wacky-looking pooch on Monday.

Joe Jonas and his lady are flying high.
The singer, along with girlfriend Blanda Eggenschwiler, joined Richard Branson at 35,000 feet on Monday to celebrate the launch of Virgin America's new route from Los Angeles to Las Vegas.
"They were very cute together," an onlooker says of the couple. "They sat next to each other all night, and he never left her side."

Coachella is expected to attract more than 80,000 attendees this year.
Some people (like Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart) attend the festival for the great music.
And others, like Joe and Nick Jonas, Katy Perry, Leonardo DiCaprio, Spring Breakers star Ashley Benson and The Bachelor winner Catherine Giudici were all about the parties that surround the annual music festival in Indio, Calif.
And can you blame them? From man-made beaches to splashy pool parties, carnival rides and delicious food and drink, see how VIPs unwind far from the festival's crowds.

Please don't stop the music!
Coachella, the two-weekend long music festival in Indio, Calif., started off on a high note when it hosted a number of famous fans over the weekend – including Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, Katy Perry, Julianne Hough and more.
But just because the first weekend of the two-part concert in the desert has come to an end doesn't mean the celebrity guests were ready to stop partying.

Joe Jonas has his own special way of replying to elaborate, obsessive videos from fans – by sending back elaborate, obsessive videos of his own.
The Jonas brother, 23, did just that in response to a Pepperdine University senior named Shaina, who – adding to something of a trend lately – made a three-minute video inviting him to her college formal this Saturday.
In his tongue-in-cheek faux-creepy reply, Jonas – lying on the floor of a darkened room in a NASCAR-style racing suit, sipping red wide and listening to sexy jazz – politely declines the invitation.
But then he makes an intriguing counteroffer.

Taylor Swift was anything but pleased when Tina Fey and Amy Poehler mocked her love life at the Golden Globes.
"You know, if you want some big revelation, since 2010 I have dated exactly two people," Swift says in the March issue of Vanity Fair (available on newsstands March 7).
She continues, "The fact that there are slideshows of a dozen guys that I either hugged on a red carpet or met for lunch or wrote a song with ... it's just kind of ridiculous."

Scratch one person off the list of guys who Taylor Swift could be referring to in her latest tell-all song, "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together."
Joe Jonas – who alluded to splitting from the star, 22, in a 2008 MySpace post – is adamant that the tune, which is about a couple who can't stay broken up, is not based on him.
"I don't think we've ever tried [to get back together] another time, so I can tell you it's not about me," Jonas, 23, said during an interview posted on Wednesday with Washington, D.C.'s 94.7 Fresh FM radio. "That said, I think the song is great. Taylor does pop music really well and I'm happy for her."
