For Goo Goo Dolls front man John Rzeznik planning his wedding day was a piece of cake. The rocker married longtime girlfriend, Melina Gallo, Friday night at Calamigos Ranch in Malibu, he confirms to PEOPLE exclusively.
"We've been together a while and I'm not going anywhere and we'd like to start a family. I'd prefer to be married when I have kids," Rzeznik, 48, told PEOPLE.
Episcopal priest and longtime friend Rev. Michael Ralph married the couple under an old oak tree in front of about 120 guests, which included Rzeznik's bandmates. "The whole thing was just about family and friends. It was really beautiful and romantic," said Rzeznik.

Goo Goo Dolls frontman John Rzeznik is ready to take center stage. After four years away from the spotlight, the singer-guitarist and his bandmates – bassist Robby Takac and drummer Mike Malinin – are back with their eighth studio album, Let Love In (the follow-up to 2002's Gutterflower). To write and record it, Rzeznik went with the rest of the Goos back to his hometown of Buffalo, New York. "It helped me reconnect with my own identity," he says. PEOPLE.com caught up with Rzeznik, 40, about how – despite his resistance – he's found love in his life and why being off the radar is a good thing.
