All right, it wasn't quite a supergroup. But the 600 invited guests who witnessed a slightly nervous Prince William joining Taylor Swift and Jon Bon Jovi for a rendition of "Livin' on a Prayer" will likely never forget it.
Rocking a tux, the prince was led to the stage by Swift late Tuesday night at Kensington Palace. Once in front of the mic, he clapped his hands and nodded his head to the music as those in the crowd hollered the chorus. At times he even managed to harmonize with Swift and Bon Jovi – and play air guitar.
The impromptu concert was described by William's aides as completely "off the cuff," and as it concluded, William and Swift high-fived each another, while Bon Jovi, who was awarded the Great Britain Youth Inspiration Award in honor of his Soul Foundation, gave his royal backup singer a big hug.

Nashville is in the house. Well, make that the Palace.
Taylor Swift lit up Kensington Palace as she led a spectacular showbiz party hosted by Prince William Tuesday night – and even managed to get him onstage.
Swift, Jon Bon Jovi Benedict Cumberbatch, Colin Firth and Downton Abbey's Michelle Dockery were on hand to help William raise money – and awareness – for his youth homelessness charity Centrepoint.
"It's positively magical here," Swift told reporters of the Winter Whites Gala. "There are fairy lights and there is fake snow falling from the sky and everything is just gorgeous. I am just very lucky to be here."

He gives love a good name!
Jon Bon Jovi made one super-fan's dreams come true when he surprised her by walking her down the aisle Saturday at the Graceland Wedding Chapel in Las Vegas – 24 years after he married wife Dorothea at the exact same venue.
In August, Australian Bon Jovi fan Branka Delic had started an online petition recruiting him for her wedding to Gonzalo Cladera. The rocker was to be in town the same weekend for the "Because We Can" tour at the MGM Grand.

It was an A-list party for the A-listers!
On Sunday night, Al Pacino, Christopher Walken, Alan Arkin and Julianna Margulies celebrated their new film Stand Up Guys at The Oak Room in New York's Plaza Hotel.
"Al Pacino chatted with Christopher Walken, Alan Arkin and director Fisher Stevens as they sipped on cocktails," an onlooker tells PEOPLE.
It was a star-studded affair as Ben Stiller, Liev Schreiber, Matt Dillion, Jeremy Piven, Mariska Hargitay, Jon Bon Jovi, Alan Cumming, Girls' Zosia Mamet and Boardwalk Empire's Bobby Cannavale were all also in attendance.
After the screening at the Museum of Modern Art ended, guests enjoyed Appleton Estate cocktails, small bites of lobster claw, salmon tartar, mushroom crostinis and shrimp cocktails.

Jon Bon Jovi isn't just livin' on a prayer following the apparent heroin overdose that hospitalized his daughter Stephanie Rose Bongiovi last month.
Speaking out about the issue with his daughter, the legendary rocker, 50, says he's "confident" Bongiovi, 19, will be okay, telling the Associated Press, "You surround them with the best help and love and move on, and that's where we're at with it."
Although the musician and his family are getting past the Nov. 14 incident that occurred in Bongiovi's Hamilton College dorm room in Clinton, N.Y., the musician is still surprised it happened.
