Jon Bon Jovi isn't just livin' on a prayer following the apparent heroin overdose that hospitalized his daughter Stephanie Rose Bongiovi last month.
Speaking out about the issue with his daughter, the legendary rocker, 50, says he's "confident" Bongiovi, 19, will be okay, telling the Associated Press, "You surround them with the best help and love and move on, and that's where we're at with it."
Although the musician and his family are getting past the Nov. 14 incident that occurred in Bongiovi's Hamilton College dorm room in Clinton, N.Y., the musician is still surprised it happened.

Jon Bon Jovi says his family has been touched by public support and will move forward after his daughter's arrest and hospitalization for a heroin overdose.
Speaking with Fox 11 in L.A., Bon Jovi called the Nov. 14 episode in a dorm room at New York's Hamilton College involving daughter Stephanie Rose Bongiovi, 19, a tragedy. Charges of drug possession against her eventually were dropped and she recovered at a local hospital.
"This tragedy was something that I had to face too, so we'll get through it," said Bon Jovi, 50, also father to three younger children with his wife of 23 years, Dorothea Hurley. "And people's incredible warm wishes for my family and I have been really reassuring. So, we're good."

Jon Bon Jovi's daughter, Stephanie Rose Bongiovi, no longer faces drug charges because of New York's law applying to overdose cases in which there was a call for help, authorities said Thursday.
Bongiovi, 19, and Ian S. Grant, 21, both students at Hamilton College in Upstate New York, were arrested this week on drug possession charges after officers found heroin, marijuana and drug paraphernalia in her dorm room, according to police.
On Thursday, the misdemeanor charges against both were dropped because of a 2011 amendment to the New York penal code exempting people from possession charges if they had sought help for somebody experiencing a "drug or alcohol overdose or other life-threatening medical emergency."

See how one of the world's top film stars lives – away from the spotlight.
George Clooney has opened up his Los Angeles home to CBS News, showing off his kitchen (where he orders dinner), his screening room and bar, for a revival of the classic celebrities-at-home program Person to Person, made famous in the 1950s by Edward R. Murrow.
Along with his palatial digs, the Oscar winner, 50, also introduces viewers to a very special friend – his roommate Einstein, a black cocker spaniel whom he rescued in 2010. "The dog came in and threw himself at me," Clooney recalls, "and I find that works also with some actors."

A fake press release reporting that the singer, 49, had died during a tour stop in New Jersey gained major buzz on the Internet late Monday, sparking confusion and concern among fans.
But don't fret, the rocker is still kicking – and even seems to have a sense of humor about the ordeal.
Bon Jovi joked about the rumor on the band's Twitter feed, posting a picture Monday night with the caption, "Heaven looks a lot like New Jersey -jbj. Rest assured that Jon is fine! This photo was just taken."
