Jon Gosselin Admits He Failed to Check His 'Moral Compass'

Jon Gosselin has set himself upon the road to redemption and hopes to set the record straight about his relationships and reputation.
During a public dialogue Sunday night with celebrity Rabbi Shmuley Boteach at New York City's West Side Jewish Center, the reality star, 32, said, "I think I'm just misunderstood. I'm not a fame seeker. Everyday I look in the mirror and I wonder [why I'm famous]. I don't sing. I don't dance. I'm not a Nobel Peace Prizewinner. I just had eight kids and I had a show on TLC."

Hailey Glassman Thanks Supporters of Her Brutal Honesty

The latest volley from the Jon Gosselin-Hailey Glassman front comes from Glassman herself, who Tweeted just after midnight Sunday, "I just want to thank everyone for their support. I was brutally honest and put everything out on the table infront [sic] of the entire world."
Her message follows a tumultuous week of dueling public statements from Gosselin and Glassman, including reports that the couple had split.
Still, a source told PEOPLE, "This was all a carefully orchestrated sequence: First, Hailey laments how hard her life has been lately and how bad Jon treats her, then Jon repents. Next, Jon plans to announce that he is going to be spending some time alone."

After a tumultuous week of dueling public statements from Jon Gosselin and his girlfriend, Hailey Glassman, reports surfaced that the couple have split – but a source tells PEOPLE the situation is not cut-and-dried.
"This was all a carefully orchestrated sequence: First, Hailey laments how hard her life has been lately and how bad Jon treats her, then Jon repents. Next, Jon plans to announce that he is going to be spending some time alone," the source tells PEOPLE. "It has all been designed so that it doesn't seem as though Hailey got dumped."
As for whether the pair are actually over, the source says it remains to be seen. "Jon has said he was done [with Hailey] before, but he basically hasn't been single since he was 19 ... He doesn't really know how to be alone. He'll probably still spend most of his time either with Hailey, or some new girl."
On Wednesday, Glassman opened up about her relationship with the reality star dad, telling The Insider that he was frequently angry and emotionally abusive. "He'll call me and take his anger out on me," Glassman, 22, said. "He has 'mantrums.' .... I cry and say, 'Why are you so mean to me?' "

While Jon Gosselin imitators around the globe are getting ready for Halloween, the real one says he is focusing on something else this weekend – spiritual enlightenment.
In a statement, the beleaguered father of eight says that he plans to reconnect with his "deeper, more spiritual, more altruistic self" through regular study sessions with celebrity Rabbi Shmuley Boteach.
"I am well aware that my behavior over the past few months has not always reflected my personal and religious values," Gosselin, 32, says in the statement. "I further accept that I have allowed myself to become somewhat severed from my own moral anchor and [to] be carried away by the challenges of fame."
Boteach, who bills himself as "America's Rabbi," is best known for his high-profile connection to Michael Jackson, to whom he also served as a spiritual adviser. After Jackson's death the rabbi published a book of their private conversations, The Michael Jackson Tapes. Also for sale on his Web site: a Rabbi Shmuley Bobblehead and his book, Kosher Sex.

Jon Gosselin Regrets Hurting Hailey Glassman

Jon Gosselin continues the delicate juggling act that is his romantic life.
While tangling with estranged wife Kate over their eight kids and money issues, the reality star is trying to make amends with girlfriend Hailey Glassman after she called him emotionally abusive.
"My girlfriend, Hailey Glassman, has paid a significant price to live under such a media microscope,” Gosselin tells the TV show The Insider, which also reported Glassman's complaints.
"I am grateful for her emotional support and I regret any pain that my actions have caused her as she has selflessly born the pressures I have endured under the media glare. I am committed to making things right with Hailey as well as Kate and especially my children. I ask you to please give me the opportunity to prove myself."

Jon Gosselin's Girlfriend Says He Throws 'Mantrums'

Jon Gosselin has more relationship drama on his hands.
Hailey Glassman says her reality star boyfriend is emotionally abusive – and she's sick of it. "He'll call me and take his anger out on me," Glassman, 22, says in a two-part interview scheduled to air on The Insider beginning Thursday. "He has 'mantrums.' I shouldn't have to put up with being emotionally abused. I cry and say, 'Why are you so mean to me?' "
But she may not get a straight answer. "Sometimes he has trouble with the truth," she says, "and he will dance and dance around his lies. He's like Jekyll and Hyde. But I still love him."
Ever since she started dating Gosselin, Glassman says her life has changed – and not necessarily for the better. "I met Jon in a bubble," she says. "I'd never seen the show. I had no idea." After their trip to France in July, she says she's faced harsh criticism. "People judge me before they meet me. I get threats everyday. I get called a home wrecker and a fat whore. People will stare or point. It gets worse everyday."

Lawyer Says Jon Gosselin Has Complied in Missing Money Issue

Attorneys for Jon and Kate Gosselin confirmed Monday morning that Jon has complied with a court order to return money missing from the couple's joint bank account – but Jon says Kate has yet to account for how she spent $33,000 in cash withdrawals.
Jon appeared in Montgomery County court on Monday, while his estranged wife did not. Cheryl Young, one of Kate's attorneys, told Judge Arthur Tilson that the amount in question accounted for only five percent of what was in dispute, and that a divorce arbitrator did not require her to break down the cash withdrawals.
"It's fully compliant," said Young, noting that a two-day conference with the arbitrator is scheduled for next month.

Kate Gosselin's Lawyer: Jon Still Hasn't Paid Up

Kate Gosselin is still waiting for Jon Gosselin to return the money he took from the couple's joint account, but Kate herself has obeyed with a court order to itemize what she spent from the account, says her divorce attorney Mark Momjian.
"Kate has complied with the court order in advance of the date," he says, noting the reality mom was not ordered to return any money.
Earlier Friday, Jon's New York attorney Mark Heller, told PEOPLE that Jon was in "complete compliance" with a court order telling him to return $180,000 he took from the couple's joint
account.
So far only $28,500 has been returned, says Kate's lawyer, but at 1:23 p.m. he received an email from Jon's Pennsylvania attorney saying he had the remaining $152,000 he owes.

"Unless something happens today [with Kate] she will be going through contempt proceedings Monday," lawyer Mark Heller told PEOPLE on Friday.
Mark Momjian, Kate's divorce attorney, could not be reached for comment. Kate had been ordered to account for the approximately $55,000 she had withdrawn for household expenses.
