It's been a long time since Jon Stewart worked with Angelina Jolie on a 1998 film called Playing by Heart, but the Oscar winner left a lasting impression on him.
"Ever since I met you about 20 years ago on set, I thought, 'This person has talent coming out of everywhere,' " Stewart told the actress and director, who stopped by The Daily Show on Thursday. "You meet certain people and you go, 'This person embodies something different, special.' I've always thought that about you."
In fact, he even came up with a Brangelina-like name for himself and Jolie, 39.

Hillary Rodham Clinton gave Jon Stewart no hints about whether she will run for president, but acknowledged during Tuesday's taping of The Daily Show that the speculation surrounding her possible candidacy has become "a cottage industry."
Stewart introduced Clinton by saying, "She's here solely for one reason: to publicly and definitively declare her candidacy for president of the United States ... I think."
That proved not to be true.

The White House Correspondents' Association Dinner has come a long way since its inception in 1920. (For example, did you know that until 1962, it was only open to men, even though the WHCA's contained women? That year – at the urging of Helen Thomas – JFK refused to attend until the ban on women was lifted.)
In its early years, the dinner featured a mix of singers, dancers and comedians as performers; not until 1983 when Mark Russell headlined did the practice of having a comedian host the event become the norm.
Since then, the Dinner has become a springboard for politically inclined comics to showcase their best material. Here are our five faves. Good luck to this year's host Joel McHale: He's got some big shoes to fill.

Jimmy Fallon joked on Twitter that Stephen Colbert will need to change his first name to Jimmy when he joins the ranks of late-night talk show hosts next year, but he might not be smiling once the Colbert Report star settles into David Letterman's chair.

The cast of Anchorman 2 stopped by The Daily Show Wednesday night, and it was everything you could've hoped for.
That is to say, it was madness.

The 64th Primetime Emmy Awards will clock in at three hours of entertaining moments. Whether you caught the whole show or just tuned in for red carpet coverage and will catch up on YouTube, here's a countdown of the top five highlights that had us laughing out loud.
5. Jimmy Kimmel's Short & Sweet Opener
Awards show openers aren't usually known for their brevity, but Kimmel kept his monologue short and sweet. "Let's not forget, in a way, all of you are winners tonight, but in a much more literal way, most of you will be losers," he joked. "The important thing is we get out of here and you can put on your fat pants." He kept up the laughs later on as well, quipping, "If you ever wondered what happens during the commercial breaks backstage, try to imagine all your favorite TV stars all in one room, checking their phones and ignoring each other."
