Stripper Apologizes to Fergie for Alleged Affair

The woman who claims she had a short-lived affair with Josh Duhamel has exactly two words for his wife, Fergie: "I'm sorry."

"I thought, 'Nobody's gonna find out. It's not gonna hurt anybody,' " exotic dancer Nicole Forrester, 34, tells Extra in an interview set to air Thursday night. "I'm sorry that I didn't think of it like I think of it now."

Forrester claims that she and the actor, 36, had a tryst after he came into her Atlanta strip club, and says she has passed a lie-detector test. But despite her regrets, she doesn't consider herself a homewrecker.

Josh & Fergie Have a Date Night in Atlanta

Josh Duhamel and wife Fergie, battling allegations of discord in their marriage, spent a cozy night out in Atlanta on Tuesday.

The couple have denied claims made by stripper Nicole Forrester that she had a one-night stand with Duhamel in Atlanta on Oct. 9. Showing that they're still very much together, Duhamel and Fergie dined at Chops restaurant located next door to the St. Regis Hotel, where Forrester claims the tryst took place.

Around 10 p.m., Fergie and Duhamel – who's in town filming Life As We Know It – walked into the restaurant. Over dinner of steak, lobster and a bottle of Chardonnay "they were snuggling up a little bit," according to Chops manager Kevin Brown. "They were sitting next to each other in a booth side by side and talking closely."

According to Brown, "We offered them a discreet table [but] she said, 'I want to sit out where the action is.' "

Josh Duhamel claims even his friends were skeptical when he told them he was going to be on the cover of Men's Health. "You're going to be on the cover of Men's Health?," he recalls them saying. "You?"

In fact, Duhamel, 36, now appearing in Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, tells the fitness magazine that he wants to be remembered for his talent, not just his rugged good looks. And he laughs off those widely-seen nude photos taken of him by photographer Greg Gorman in 2000. "To me, it's funny at this point. Whatever. It's done," he says. "It was very cold in the studio, by the way."

Fergie: Marriage is 'Like Coming Home'

Marriage agrees with Fergie. During her 34th birthday celebration Friday night at the Fontainebleau Resort's Liv night club in Miami Beach, the smiling singer gushed about life as a newlywed with her husband of two months, husband Josh Duhamel.

"Now that the wedding is over, we are so chill and comfortable together – the feeling I have about Josh is like coming home," Fergie tells PEOPLE about life after their Jan. 10 nuptials in Malibu. "There is that small and intimate feeling I have all of the time that tells me things are so right! It was wonderful to share our special day with families and friends. But now we can be casual and happy and move ahead."
