He's survived a spear in the leg in The Hunger Games – and it looks like Josh Hutcherson isn't letting his recent real-life surgery keep him down either.

The bandage-sporting teen star stepped out Monday in Beverly Hills, reportedly to visit his doctor, after undergoing a procedure on his nose recently.

"Just had surgery to fix my broken nose," the actor Tweeted on May 9. But luckily he found some entertainment as he convalesced – Tweeting at Jennifer Love Hewitt about enjoying her Lifetime television show.

Chaz Bono was in good company at the GLAAD Media Awards on Saturday night.

His mom Cher showed up to support her son at the event in Los Angeles.

"So much fun at Glaad awards!" the singer Tweeted. "I really surprised Chaz! HE was adorable,Said wow mom i was so surprised i forgot what i was going 2say!"

Bono, who was the first transgender contestant on Dancing with the Stars, was honored for his OWN documentary, Becoming Chaz, and with the Stephen F. Kolzak Award, which is given by GLAAD to a gay, lesbian, bisexual or transgender entertainer for promoting equality.

There's a new Head Gamemaker in town.

Director Francis Lawrence reportedly has been tapped to helm Catching Fire, the sequel to reigning box-office blockbuster The Hunger Games.

Lawrence, who last directed Robert Pattinson and Reese Witherspoon in 2011's Water for Elephants, won the job after Games director Gary Ross dropped out, citing time constraints due to the sequel's "fixed and tight production schedule."

Josh Hutcherson Adopts Rescued Pit Bull Puppy

Josh Hutcherson has found a new snuggle buddy.

The Hunger Games star, 19, recently adopted a 3-month-old blue pit bull, which he named Driver.

"Thanks to Josh, he now has a full stomach, warm bed and a loving owner," reads a post on Hutcherson's official Facebook fan page, which announced the news.

Driver and Hutcherson found each other when rescue group Hands Paws Hearts pulled the dog out of a municipal Los Angeles County shelter, as first reported by TooFab.com. The puppy, who has two missing toes, had been dropped off as a stray.
