When it comes to Man Stuff, you apparently can tell a book by its cover.
The jacket of Josh Turner's new book features a photo – originally shot for a 2011 issue of PEOPLE Country's Hottest Guys issue – of the singer draped with his boys Hampton, now 7½, Colby, almost 5, and Marion, who just turned 3. His wide grin, deep dimple and rough scruff no doubt caught plenty of admiring eyes, but his designation as Hottest Dad and thoughts on fatherhood also piqued the interest of religious publisher Thomas Nelson.
"That story got them interested in me, my lifestyle and how I live my life and faith," the rural South Carolina native, who grew up attending the Union Baptist Church in Hannah, S.C., three times a week, tells PEOPLE. "It appealed to me, and got me excited because it allowed me to open up and share stories and lessons that I probably wouldn't have otherwise shared."

Kimberly Schlapman is having some weekend. As one-quarter of the award winning country music group Little Big Town, she – along with them – is up for four Academy of Country Music Awards.
But between vying for prizes and touring, Schlapman is also enjoying the second season of her cooking show, Kimberly's Simply Southern.
On her next episode (Saturday, April 13, at 1 p.m. ET), Schlapman is joined in the kitchen by fellow country singer Josh Turner, and the two bond over mushrooms and their kids.

My three sons!
Josh Turner and wife Jennifer are celebrating an early Christmas present – the birth of their third child, son Crawford Marion, on Monday evening in Nashville, the country star tells PEOPLE exclusively.
Weighing in at 6 lbs., 15 oz. and measuring 19 inches long, Marion – as the couple will be calling him – arrived at 8:52 p.m.

Chalk one up to father's intuition: After going through two pregnancies with wife Jennifer, Josh Turner knows a little something about expectant mothers, so when he noticed her acting "a little different" he encouraged her to take a pregnancy test.
"She did and it was negative, but I refused to believe it," he tells PEOPLE exclusively. "So when she took another and told me she's pregnant, all I could say was, 'I told you!' and she was floored." Baby number three for the couple will arrive early next year.

Everything Is Fine is an understatement for Josh Turner. The country crooner and his wife Jennifer became parents for the second time when they welcomed a baby boy – Colby Lynch Turner – on Friday, June 26, a rep for the singer confirms to PEOPLE.
"I'm just a proud daddy right now," says Turner.
As for the couple's first child, Hampton Otis, 2 ½, the toddler is happily stepping into his new role. "Hampton loves being a big brother, and we're just one big happy family," the singer notes.
