While Hollywood is in the midst of a baby boom, Octavia Spencer is one actress who doesn't have little ones on the brain.
"I should be married and have 19 kids," the Fruitvale Station star, 43, said Thursday during a roundtable discussion for The Hollywood Reporter's actresses issue. "And now I'm thinking my eggs are dying on the shelf. They're going to go past their expiration date. But it's what I chose, so I'm fine with that decision."

November 18 is National Married to A Scorpio Support Day. Scorpios are wonderful, caring people, but there's also a reason the adjective "intense" is frequently applied to them, and it's probably the same reason that there's a national day of support for the people who choose to marry them.

Audiences got their first look at Angelina Jolie as an iconic Disney villain Wednesday, as the Tomb Raider actress made her dark debut in the first trailer for the upcoming film Maleficent, a Wicked-style take on the life of the evil Sleeping Beauty sorceress.

Julia Roberts is a hero to many, but who does she look up to? Meryl Streep and Hillary Clinton, she says.
"I had many imaginary conversations with Meryl about working together," she says about her August: Osage County costar in Marie Claire's December issue.
"When a person goes from being on a pedestal in your mind, to even cooler, better and more fabulous up close, you get to understand them a little more intimately."

Jake Gyllenhaal is the latest actor to drop major weight for a movie, but he says it's really not that different from prepping for any role.
"I think [I've lost] probably a little over 20 pounds, something like that," the actor, 32, told PEOPLE Monday on the red carpet at the Hollywood Film Awards, where he looked noticeably thinner as he was honored for his role in Prisoners.
While he may look different, his approach hasn't changed as he prepares for Nightcrawler, Gyllenhaal said.

The non-televised show, which PEOPLE live streamed from the red carpet at the Beverly Hilton Hotel, brought on a lot of laughter, an occasional tear – and a particularly eyebrow-raising presenter's speech.

Calling all house-hunting movie buffs: If you recognize the source of this line – "The only thing that separates us from the animals is our ability to accessorize" – and appreciate Southern architecture, get your bids ready.
The historic Louisiana residence where the all-star 1989 movie Steel Magnolias was filmed is being placed on the auction block Oct. 26, along with all the antiques and furnishings inside it.
Built in 1840, the movie stomping ground of Shirley MacLaine, Sally Field, Olympia Dukakis, Daryl Hannah and Julia Roberts in the town of Natchitoches was used as a hospital during the Civil War and recently operated as a bed-and-breakfast. Like the women in the movie, it epitomizes Southern character – genteel on the outside but strong of foundation.
