Justin Bartha has a reason to celebrate!

The Hangover Part III star, 34, is engaged to personal trainer Lia Smith, PEOPLE has confirmed.

"They're very happy," a source says of the pair, who was first publicly linked this past New Year's Day when they were photographed in Smith's native state Hawaii, where they were "very cute" and affectionate, according to an onlooker at the time.

For an especially private person, Scarlett Johansson has an especially difficult time seeing her life played out publicly.

So, imagine her horror at reading tabloid headlines about her divorce from Ryan Reynolds, her dating and breaking up with Sean Penn, her time in Paris with Kieran Culkin and in Manhattan with Justin Bartha – not to mention the nude photos from her hacked cellphone. Those went viral.

"The hardest part is actually going through whatever hardship you're facing. Going through it in public is the added unfortunate thing," the actress, 27, tells USA Today while promoting her new movie with Matt Damon, We Bought a Zoo.

Still, "There's nothing you can do about that," she says. "It's just nice to have kind of a blinder up in that regard. It helps keep you sane. I can't follow all that stuff. It's too exhausting."

Ashley Olsen is a single lady.

The actress-fashion designer, 24, and her Hangover star beau, Justin Bartha, 32, have parted ways, a source confirms to PEOPLE.

The private couple, who dated for more than two years, shot down engagement rumors shortly after they got together in 2008.

Reps had no comment.

The Hangover Stars Reveal Their Own Hangover Cures

As The Hangover breezed its way to the top of the weekend's box-office chart, leading men Bradley Cooper and Justin Bartha would like to offer audiences their own hit-and-miss cures for the morning after the night before.

"I was one of those stupid people that thought you could cure a hangover by exercise, which is the most nonsensical way," Cooper, 34, tells PEOPLE. "I would just run and try to sweat it out. I thought it was logical to sweat out the toxins [when] in fact I was probably sweating out what I needed to put in my body."

Naturally, the treatment never worked. "I just had to go through the hangover experience fully aware," Cooper says.
