As any Hallmark card can tell you, the holidays are about bringing people together. For some of us, that means reuniting with grown-up children, or welcoming long-lost cousins into our homes. But for musicians, it means something else: seasonal duets, often performed with the oddest of partners.
From reality-show novelty songs to stocking-stuffer EPs, Christmas isn't Christmas until two people who have no business being in the same room have crowded in front of the mic to sing a holiday classic. Why do they do this? You should just as soon ask Black Friday shoppers why they camp out for hours in front of big-box stores. Holiday magic is a compelling thing.

If there was any inkling of a question as to whether Justin Bieber is all grown up, look no further than his new new video for his latest single "All That Matters."
In it, a shirtless Bieber makes out and grinds with beautiful blond model Cailin Russo. The singer also shows off his abs and a decidedly adult pelvic-thrust dance move.
The pop star, 19, released the breakup anthem in October, at which time it sparked a lot of buzz that he was singing about his ex Selena Gomez.
You be the judge – and watch the steamy new video below.

Some stars twerk and tongue-waggle their way to the top, others let their work and amazing gif-able dance skills help them ascend the celebrity ladder. Wild or subdued, almost every famous person has a moment – or several – where they do something so over-the-top the whole word has to stop and go, "Wow!"

There's no question that Justin Bieber has had his share of controversy this year, but giving back is what ultimately matters most to the pop star.
On Oct. 27, the 19-year-old traveled to a remote village in Guatemala with the organization Pencils of Promise, a charity he's long supported that builds primary schools in developing countries like Nicaragua, Laos, Guatemala and Ghana.
And he didn't just watch: He helped sift concrete, lay down cinder blocks, and spent time playing with the children who will one day attend the school.

What do you get when Justin Bieber jumps off a cliff?
Nope, that's not a riddle, but it did entice a pack of photographers and videographers to capture the pop star's leap of faith in Hawaii Wednesday.
After a year that has included facing graffiti charges in Brazil, getting hoisted up the Great Wall of China and declaring that Anne Frank "would have been a Belieber," the singer made his thrilling jump in the Aloha state

Celebrities love to rap (see: Gwyneth Paltrow's unforgettable performance of "Straight Outta Compton," or Ellen DeGeneres and Rebel Wilson channeling Salt-N-Pepa). And several have paid tribute to "Lose Yourself," Eminem's infectious anthem about overcoming adversity and conquering self-doubt.

Justin Bieber has once again stepped in a bit of trouble while on his wild world tour.
Following a bad trip to the U.K. in March and controversy in Amsterdam in April, the singer is in Brazil, where police are charging him for "defacing a building or urban monument by graffiti or other means," according to a statement from cops in Rio de Janeiro.
Bieber, 19, apparently had permission from the city to paint on a graffiti wall in Rio's Olympic Village, the Morro do Vidigal. But according to RollingStone.com, he chose to tag a wall on a nearby hotel to avoid his local fans.
"Authorization granted by the city did not extend to other locations," the statement from police says.

Taylor Swift has said she considers Selena Gomez to be like a sister, but Gomez says that although they're close friends, they are not that alike.
"The difference between Taylor and me is she was 16 with the confidence of a 25-year-old. Actually, I should say 80-year-old, because she's such an old soul," the singer says in the December/January issue of Teen Vogue.
"I was not that way. I was very sheltered until about 18 or 19. I still live at home, and I'm 21! She does inspire me like crazy, but I wouldn't change my path, because it allowed me to figure out all that stuff and do it on my own."
