Kanye West Issues an Angry Apology

After keeping quiet for over a week, Kanye West unleashed a tirade in response to criticism about his Bonnaroo music festival show that started two hours late in the wee hours.

In a blistering blog post, the rapper blames both festival organizers and the previous act – Pearl Jam – for forcing him to go on stage at 4:25 a.m. on June 15 – two hours behind schedule.

"Bonnaroo should have released a statement in my defense but since they haven't, let's break down the walls on this Truman Show and let you know what really occurred!!!" West, 31, writes.

"I understand if people don't like me because I like me or if people think tight clothes look gay or people say I run my mouth to much, but this Bonnaroo thing is the worst insult I've ever had in my life," he adds.

Call it Kanye West's late late late show.

The rapper didn't appear on stage at Tennessee's Bonnaroo until 4.25 a.m. Sunday morning – some two hours behind schedule, the Associated Press reports.

Why? Previous act Pearl Jam ran over by an hour, festival organizers said – and then there were long delays setting up West's elaborately futuristic stage set.

As the delay dragged on, fans at the four-day-long music festival reportedly began chanting "Kanye sucks" and pelting the empty stage with glow sticks.

Kanye West doesn't take disrespect lightly – especially during his Glow in the Dark tour.

When fans at his Minneapolis concert got a bit too rowdy Tuesday night – and one threw an unspecified object toward the stage – the agitated headliner quickly pulled the plug on his show.

"Whoever thought that was a good idea, I'm not gonna curse at you – that's a really bad idea," declared West.

"It really throws me off to have some [stuff] thrown on the stage. You can see I'm trying to do something different here," said the singer, 31, as the audience erupted in shouts of support.

Kanye West and Selita Ebanks are good friends, but nothing more than that, says a source close to the model.

West and Ebanks were among those attending a party Saturday night at the New York City club Tenjune. Plus, Ebanks showed up at the afterparty following West's May 13 concert appearance at Madison Square Garden.

But the source says that rumors of a romance between the two are not true.

"They are just friends. They were with a large group that included Serena Williams and Selita's dad," says the Ebanks source about the Tenjune party.

"It's always sad when things like this end, and we remain friends,” Phifer tells PEOPLE. "I wish him the best in his future and all of his endeavors. He's one of the most talented people I've ever met."
