Don't rent that tux just yet, Jake Davidson.
To be sure, of all the invitations that Kate Upton has received in the past year, none has been more memorable than the Los Angeles teen's playful video asking her to the prom.
"It was so flattering," Upton, 20, tells PEOPLE. "The video was so cute, and I really appreciated it. There was something about it that I knew I had to respond."
And good news for Davidson: he displayed a character trait that Upton likes.

Kate Upton gets invited to everything – parties, pageants, premieres.
Upton, 20, must have been a little taken aback by Jake Davidson's now-famous video, in which the Los Angeles teen amusingly invites the supermodel to his senior prom.
But isn't that what every girl wants? A guy who's sweet and full of surprises, and not afraid to express himself with a dozen roses?
Upton says she's thinking about it. But what is she waiting for? Here's are five reason why Kate shouldn't let a guy like Jake get away.

What's a guy to do when he doesn't have a girlfriend and prom is approaching?
Ask Kate Upton to go. Obviously!
Jake Davidson, an intrepid high-school senior in Los Angeles, figured he didn't have much to lose. So, he filmed a cute video inviting the 20-year-old supermodel to his prom.
And now, she's actually thinking about it.
"You had me at hello. You are the yin to my yang," Davidson says in the amusing homemade clip. "I'm Jewish, 5'9" on a really good day, and I can't dance. At all. You're Christian, 5'10" and that 'Cat Daddy' video should've won an Oscar for best short film. You could say this is destiny."

Viva Las Vegas!
Chrissy Teigen, 27, and Sports Illustrated Swimsuit cover girl Kate Upton, 20, were joined by a slew of fellow models who traveled from Newark, N.J., to Sin City recently, and the ladies gave PEOPLE.com a behind-the-scenes look at their trip-planning.
"I just thought I'd show you what's in my purse, because it's kind of fascinating, actually," Teigen said, while pulling out several bags of hair extensions. "I have multitudes of hair."
But as John Legend's fiancée points out, the "creme de la creme" of her handbag contents were yet to come.

Kate Upton's Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue cover is very hot – but during her photo shoot in Antarctica, all the model could think about was the freezing cold.
"It was definitely the hardest shoot I've ever done," Upton, 20, tells PEOPLE. "The best as well – Antarctica is one of the most beautiful place I've ever been to. But I'm from Florida, so it was pretty painful."
The pain paid off, however: the perfect shot earned Upton her second consecutive SI cover, a distinction not seen since Tyra Banks covered back-to-back issues in 1996 and 1997.

Brrr ... that's hot!
For the second year in a row, model Kate Upton appears on the cover of Sports Illustrated's Swimsuit Issue, which goes on sale Tuesday.
The magazine shared the news – and that steamy photo – via Twitter on Friday night, writing, "POLAR BARE: @KateUpton in Antarctica is your 2013 SI Swimsuit Cover Model!"
And unlike last year, this time around Upton, 20, is slightly more covered up – OK, not really – in her Antarctica-themed shoot. The cover finds the model posing in a white Canada Goose Chilliwack Bomber jacket, unzipped, with a fur hood and bikini bottom on a boat.

For Hollywood, Super Bowl weekend is one big party, and they don't disappoint.
On Saturday night, Lil Wayne performed at a GQ, Lacoste and Mercedes-Benz hosted party at the Elms Mansion in New Orleans. Among the fans on hand was model Kate Upton, who posed for photos in front of her GQ cover and stood on a couch to get a better view of Lil Wayne's show, an onlooker tells PEOPLE.
Even Paul McCartney and wife Nancy Shevell were spotted "rushing through the backstage area to catch the end of his performance," the source adds.
