It was arguably the most undressed Oscar-winning role in movie history, but The Reader Best Actress Kate Winslet has nothing to hide.

"If people are noticing my boobs in a movie and saying they do what real boobs do, then that's great," the typically outspoken Winslet tells August's Harper's Bazaar, which also notes that Winslet's bosom has even earned raves from Oprah Winfrey.

The TV queen told the actress on the air, "God bless your real breasts."

Winona Ryder Recalls Teenage Heartbreak

For the past seven years, Winona Ryder has lived mostly out of the spotlight.

Now, with a role in Star Trek and the release of another movie – The Private Lives of Pippa Lee – opening in Europe soon and in the U.S. in the fall, the actress, 37, is talking about the strain of being in the public eye.

Ryder, who was engaged to Johnny Depp after co-starring with him in 1990's Edward Scissorhands (they split when she was 19), says one of her first big challenges was dealing heartache during the height of her fame.

"I had just done Dracula and Edward Scissorhands. I had just had my first real break-up, the first heartbreak," she tells Pippa Lee director Rebecca Miller, who interviewed her for the U.K. edition of Elle, out Wednesday.

"And I think it was really ironic because, like, everybody else just thought I had everything in the world, you know, I had no reason to be depressed, everything was sort of at its peak, but inside I was completely lost.

"I remember feeling, 'I can't complain about anything, because I'm so lucky, I'm so lucky.' After that I realized I needed to take time off more [regularly]."

Perhaps because of her posh attitude and accent, her Titanic box-office record or her numerous acting accolades – including a Best Actress Oscar this year for The ReaderKate Winslet is not perceived of as a working-class heroine, a fact that leaves the actress, whose origins are humble, entirely chagrined.

"Oh my God," Winslet, 33, tells June's U.K. edition of Marie Claire about her parents' economic struggles to raise her, her two sisters, Beth and Anna, and their brother, Joss, in Reading, England. "We were supported through the majority of my schooling by an organization called the Actors' Charitable Trust."

Though both parents listed their profession as actors, mother Sally toiled in a local pub, while father Roger long worked to overcome the setback of a foot he nearly lost in a boating mishap when daughter Kate was 11.

Angelina Jolie, Johnny Depp Most Beautiful Down Under

Originally posted 04/09/2009 01:10PM

They may be Down Under, but readers of WHO – Australia's version of PEOPLE – are anything but topsy-turvy in their selections of the world's Most Beautiful People.

Topping their list of international stars, Angelina Jolie, followed (in order) by Kate Winslet, Jessica Alba, Halle Berry and Jennifer Aniston.

In the men's vote, Johnny Depp took the crown, trailed (in descending order) by Brad Pitt, George Clooney, Orlando Bloom and David Beckham .

When it came to picking apart the stars for their enviable body parts, the WHO readers went for Aniston's hair; Jolie's eyes, lips, cheeks and breasts; Nicole Kidman's nose; Kylie Minogue's bottom; and Elle Macpherson's legs.

The ideal guy, on the other hand, would consist of Hugh Jackman's hair, eyes, nose, abs, backside, arms, chest and legs – with Brad Pitt's mouth and Johnny Depp's cheekbones.

Slumdog Millionaire Sweeps Oscar Awards

An underdog movie about a little guy overcoming life's enormous obstacles swept the Oscars Sunday night, as Slumdog Millionaire racked up eight Academy Awards, including those for Best Picture and for its Director, Danny Boyle.

But it was not underdog Mickey Rourke (for The Wrestler) who took the Best Actor Oscar. That honor went to Sean Penn, for Milk, in which he played 1970s gay activist Harvey Milk.

"I did not expect this, and I know how hard I make it to appreciate me, often," Penn said in his impassioned acceptance speech – in which he also acknowledged his fellow nominee, whose career had faded away in the '90s. "Mickey Rourke rises again," said Penn, "and he is my brother."

Second to the Super Bowl, betting on the Oscars is a gambler's favorite pastime, according to Doc's Sports Service, an online handicapper.

While Las Vegas doesn't post odds on the Oscars, due to Nevada Gaming Commission rules, offline betting services do, according to Doc's.

As for those favored to end up holding Hollywood's most cherished golden boy on Sunday night – ABC broadcasts the Oscars from the Kodak Theater starting at 8 p.m. – the good doctor recommends putting your money on the following:

Moviegoers will be seeing less of Kate Winslet in the future.

While the actress has appeared nude in past films – including her Oscar-nominated turn in The Reader – she now says she is done disrobing.

"I think I won't do it again: A. I can't keep getting away with it, and B. I don't want to become 'that actress who always gets her kit off,'" Winslet, 33, told Time magazine for its new issue, on sale Friday.

Kate Winslet Takes a Diet and Exercise Hiatus

She may be an old pro at awards shows, but Kate Winslet still has to deal with butterflies in her stomach.

"To be honest with you, I’m more nervous through this award season than I have ever been before in my life," she told PEOPLE on the red carpet of last night's SAG awards, where she took home the Actor for her role in The Reader. "I’m still not used to it at all."

To keep her sanity, Winslet has decided not to put any undue pressure on herself, saying she's "not exercising at all, and I’m eating whatever I like."

Is it working? Winslet thinks so. "Pressure? Gone!" she says. "That's how I'm going to get through it."
