An inside look at Kathy Griffin in her fabulous Hollywood mansion
Originally posted 10/05/2013 09:25AM
Kathy Griffin is quick to fess up: She has no clue how to decorate a home.
"I have an eye for when it's done well, but I can't do it myself," admits the Emmy-winning comedian. "It's like nobody loves a great pizza more than I do, but I couldn't make one if my life depended on it."
So when it came to renovating her 7,300-sq.-ft. spread atop the Hollywood Hills, Griffin turned to her friend Lara Spencer, co-anchor of Good Morning America and a longtime interior designer.

A dress code at the Grammy Awards seems as likely to be enforced as a profanity ban for Quentin Tarantino movies. Still, the stars were ordered to cover up this year.
So, did they?
Jennifer Lopez and Kelly Rowland may have crossed a line with their outfits – Lopez in an Anthony Vaccarello dress with a high thigh slit, and Rowland in a Georges Chakra outfit that showed lots of skin.

Emmy-winning comedienne Kathy Griffin dined at Strega Waterfront on Boston's Fan Pier recently.
Griffin – who performed in nearby Worcester at the Hanover Theatre on Sunday – ordered up the restaurant's house special, calamari fritto misto.
Joined by her manager, Griffin "had Strega's Caesar salad with no croutons or cheese," an onlooker tells PEOPLE.
After enjoying her salad, Griffin had her own pasta dish made with penne pasta, peas and chopped chicken in a vodka cream sauce.
The Kathy host is on tour through 2013.

Phyllis Diller used to say that freckles were kisses from the sun. Then, noting her own spotted complexion, she'd look skyward and wisecrack, "All right, lover. Enough!"
It wasn't just the sun that loved Phyllis Diller, who died at her Brentwood home Monday at the age of 95. Her fans spanned generations and also included the top names in the business she fought so hard to break into – and then remained, to elicit gales of laughter for more than 50 years.
"What she accomplished was something I don't think younger people can even grasp," Kathy Griffin, 51, told PEOPLE on Monday.

Within hours of Anderson Cooper coming out, stars and media figures offered their support and congratulations to the CNN anchor and daytime talk show host.
"I'm proud of you, @AndersonCooper," Ellen DeGeneres, who came out years ago, wrote on Twitter.
Neil Patrick Harris also gave the newsman his good wishes, writing, "Good for you, @AndersonCooper. You're awesome."
Both messages have been re-tweeted almost 5,000 times.
And though he's away, Cooper, 45, is getting the message loud and clear. "I appreciate all the nice tweets," he wrote on Twitter Tuesday. "I am in Botswana working but want to wish everyone a great 4th of July!"

Congratulations, ladies: There's still a chance to date the Old Spice guy.
"I am single," Isaiah Mustafa tells PEOPLE. "I like hanging out with people."
As a result of being so outgoing, Mustafa, 37, said Monday at Cosmopolitan's Fun Fearless Male of 2011 party in New York (where he was honored along with Russell Brand and Penn Badgley), "Anytime I have been hanging out with people in any capacity, it's always taken as something more."
There are also the rumors – and even more than just rumors. Comedian Kathy Griffin, for instance, spilled to Howard Stern on Monday that she and Mustafa are an item.

Kathy Griffin is off the D-list.
The comedian is ending the six season – and Emmy Award-winning – run of her hit Bravo show, My Life on the D-List, she tells PEOPLE.
"It was a really tough decision because I think of the D-List as pretty much my baby for the last six seasons and I also think it was really time to stop doing it," Griffin, 50, says by phone from L.A. "Reality is great, but I really didn't set out to be a reality star. So now it's time to spread my wings and show that I'm a little different than Kate Gosselin."
"I'm not saying better," she says, laughing, "but maybe separate myself from the pack a little bit."
