Katie Holmes Slips into Sundance's Low-Key Vibe

The much-anticipated arrival of Katie Holmes at the Sundance Film Festival took place Monday night amid a flurry of flashbulbs and friends.
The actress – who's at the Utah fest with two movies, The Extra Man and The Romantics – arrived looking cute and cozy in the snow but without hubby Tom Cruise.
Holmes, 31, started her evening by heading to the Hotel Park City for dinner with pals before her The Extra Man premiere. "Katie arrived at Ruth's Chris Steakhouse," says a onlooker, "with five people – three girls and two guys.

Katie Holmes, Ben Affleck to Sizzle at Sundance

This year the Sundance Film Festival showcases small films – but big stars, including Kristen Stewart, Katie Holmes and Ben Affleck.
• Holmes will be in Park City, Utah, to promote two films: The Extra Man, with John C. Reilly and Kevin Kline, and The Romantics, with an all-star cast including Josh Duhamel, Anna Paquin and Elijah Wood among others.
• On the hot list at the festival – is The Runaways, a biopic about Joan Jett's '70s band, starring Kristen Stewart and Dakota Fanning. On Saturday night, the real life rocker played a show, and invited Stewart and Fanning up onstage.

Katie Holmes Calls Suri 'Magical'

Even when she leaves Suri home to go out on a date with husband Tom Cruise, Katie Holmes can't help but rave about her 3-year-old daughter.
"She's doing really well," the actress told PEOPLE at The NY Times Style Magazine's Golden Globes cocktail party Friday night at the Chateau Marmont in West Hollywood. "She's growing up really, really fast."
But the Suri love didn't stop there. Holmes says her high-heel-wearing little girl talks a blue streak and is "spectacular."

If you're Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes, you clear out a zoo and let her have the animals all to herself.
That's what happened Wednesday morning, when Holmes took their daughter Suri to the Guillena Mundo Park Zoo outside Seville in Spain, where Tom is filming scenes for Knight and Day with Cameron Diaz.

• In New York City for the weekend, Katie Holmes stopped into Soho Baby, where 3-½-year-old daughter Suri was especially taken by a train set. After some perusing, Holmes bought her daughter rain boots, a matching backpack and little stuffed giraffe. "[Suri] was wearing nice dress shoes and she took them off and put the rain boots on," a store employee tells us. According to the employee, Holmes complimented the store, and "[she] was very nice," the employee says, adding that Suri was "quiet [but] she was smiling."

Tom and Katie Celebrate 3rd Anniversary Early

With work threatening to take Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes to separate places on the globe this week, the couple made sure to celebrate their third wedding anniversary in advance.
On Saturday night, the pair – who tied the knot in a lavish affair in Italy on Nov. 18, 2006 – celebrated the milestone with a romantic Italian dinner at Boston's Bricco restaurant. Cruise, 47, surprised Holmes, 30, by renting out the entire second floor of the eatery, where the pair dined on house-made pasta, Chilean sea bass (Holmes's pick) and Wagyu steak (Cruise's choice).
With 3-year-old daughter Suri at home, "they held hands the entire night," Ron Leduc, director of operations for Bricco, tells PEOPLE. "They had a romantic dinner."

Forget Armani, Donna Karan and Dolce & Gabbana – the next time a celebrity tells the world who she's wearing, don't be surprised if she says "Suri."
It seems Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise's little girl is turning into quite the fashion icon.
"She loves clothes and she picks out her own clothes," Holmes, 30, said at the Elle Women in Hollywood Tribute on Monday. "She loves that, she [loves] running, she loves dancing, she loves singing."

Suri Cruise's 'Sweet' Weekend in Boston

All work and no play makes Tom a dull boy – which is why Tom Cruise took time off from filming for quality family time in Boston.
While Cruise, 47, has been shooting his latest flick Wichita in Boston, his daughter Suri, 3, has been with her mom, Katie Holmes, 30. But on Saturday, the leading man snuck away from the set so the trio could stroll along the Charles River and play at a nearby park.
According to an eyewitness, "[Suri] was full of energy and laughter – and Tom and Katie even joined her for a sprint across the park." After working up a sweat, the three took a seat on a nearby bench, where Suri fell asleep in her father's arms. "They all looked very happy to be spending the day together," the eyewitness says.

Katie Holmes Loves Vampire Movies Too!

It might be time to fit Katie Holmes for her own set of fangs.
The actress, 30, fesses up to Elle in its November issue that she can find love in her heart for Hollywood's current vampire fad, so long as the characters are well written.
"I even like vampire movies – they just have to be well done," she says. "I want to believe in the characters. The minute it starts to feel not real, I'm not interested."
So, um, does that rule out an appearance in the Twilight movies or not?
