How do you follow up a Best Actress Oscar win?
For Meryl Streep, it seems a burger will do! The actress (who won for her starring role in The Iron Lady) indulged at the Weinstein afterparty at the Mondrian Hotel, ordering Fatburger, which was being served at the bash.
Earlier in Hollywood, the stars came out for Elton John's 20th Annual Academy Awards Viewing Party – and were captivated by Streep's shocked reaction to her win (along with Octavia Spencer's emotional victory and Christopher Plummer's charming speech).
As for the host of the evening, John told PEOPLE that his party serves as a fabulous meet and greet and a chance to watch the Oscars in star company. "At the end of the day, you come away with such happy memories," he said. "I've never met Katy Perry – she's at my table tonight."

Katy Perry Takes a Picture with a Bride
Originally posted 02/22/2012 06:00AM
Despite her blue hair, which she hid under a beanie, Katy Perry was flying under the radar during dinner with friends at The Stonehouse inside the San Ysidro Ranch in Santa Barbara, Calif. The single singer was escorted to her table by two men and seemed to be enjoying her food and drinks – as well as her friends' company, an onlooker says. Perry also sported big, thick glasses during dinner – enough of a disguise that a neighboring diner didn't even recognize her. But she didn't go totally unnoticed: At one point, a new bride approached her table and asked to take a picture with the pop star. Perry's answer? Yes.

Rihanna's birthday may not be until next week, but the singer celebrated a few days early with a Caribbean-themed party at the Hearst Mansion in Beverly Hills Monday night.
About 100 of Rihanna's friends and family members came out to toast the star, who turns 24 on Feb. 20. The guests – including Bruno Mars, Coldplay's Chris Martin, and her BFF Katy Perry – enjoyed a Caribbean-style dinner and Sprinkles cupcakes decorated with Barbadian flags. In addition to a deejay, whose music pumped through both floors of the house, the party featured a brass drum player, who played Caribbean beats, as well as a photobooth complete with dress-up clothes that was set up for guests to enjoy.
The singer is no stranger to lavish birthday parties, and appeared to thoroughly enjoy herself. "Rihanna was dancing all night and had an amazing time celebrating with her friends," according to one attendee.

Grammy nominees Rihanna and Katy Perry upped the glam factor for Roc Nation/Nokia's annual pre-Grammy brunch at Soho House West Hollywood Saturday afternoon.
A slender Rihanna turned heads in her corset and pants, while Perry could not be missed with her bright blue hair, which matched her dress.
Also there to celebrate Grammy weekend was Ellen Pompeo and her music-exec husband Chris Ivery; Nicole Richie, who shared a moment with The X Factor's L.A. Reid as he made his rounds; and Sam Ronson and Rashida Jones, who chatted and ate in the packed sunlit back room. Other talent mingling included Kelly Rowland, Michelle Williams, Corinne Bailey Rae, Ne-Yo and Christina Milian.
Jay-Z may not have been present, but plenty of partygoers were rocking blue accessories – in "silent respect," one was overheard saying – for his newborn daughter, Blue Ivy.

PEOPLE Critic Reviews Emotional Highs and Lows of Grammy Telecast
Originally posted 02/13/2012 04:00PM
The Grammys would have been (and were) a showcase for the glory that is Adele, but Whitney Houston's death 24 hours before the event turned the CBS special into a night of mourning and celebration cresting on big, pure emotions. That's what brought in an estimated 39 million viewers, the highest number for the broadcast since 1984 and the second highest ever.
LL Cool J, who handled the hosting duties without any perceptible wrinkling in his uncanny smoothness, opened with a simple prayer for Houston, "a woman who we loved … our fallen sister." This set up a clip of the six-time Grammy winner belting her signature hit "I Will Always Love You."

Talk about bringing the heat!
Katy Perry, who has already sung about fireworks and sunny California, took a fiery turn on stage inside the L.A.'s Staples Center during the Grammy Awards Sunday night with her new song, "Part of Me."
The singer, 27, who signed her divorce papers last week, first launched into her hit "E.T." while green beams lit the stage.
But then the stage blacked out, as a blue-haired Perry emerged in a leather-like, silver and gold body suit – a different look than the dazzling gown she walked the red carpet in earlier – to perform her new tune while flames shot up around the stage.

Katy Perry Signs Off on Divorce with a Smile

Somber occasion or not, nothing can keep Katy Perry from smiling.
The pop star often includes a smiley face with her signature, and sure enough, she added one when she signed the papers this week in her divorce from Russell Brand.
She might not have been feeling too joyful at that particular moment, but it's another example of the sunny disposition that's made the California girl a megastar the world over.
Perry, 27, and Brand, 36, reached a final divorce settlement this week, covering distribution of their property and all other issues.
