When Patrick Swayze was given a task, not only did he deliver to the fullest but he had a blast in the process, recalls onetime costar Keanu Reeves about Swayze, who succumbed to cancer on Monday.
"There was some sky diving sequences in this film we did together and as filming was going on it came to be that Patrick was jumping out of airplanes all the time," Reeves recalled of their 1991 movie Point Break. "I think he had over 30 jumps during the course of filming and so the production served him with a cease and desist which he listened to until they got to Hawaii."
In it, Swayze played a bank-robbing surfer named Bodhi, who forms a bond with the undercover FBI agent (Reeves) assigned to catch him. In the course of the story, "he jumps out of planes and did the flips and falling to the ground and he did it with an open heart," remembers Reeves.

It's a Sweet November for Keanu Reeves, who was found not responsible for a paparazzo's purported injuries.
During a five-day civil trial in Los Angeles, photographer Alison Silva – who was suing Reeves for $711,974 in medical bills, lost wages, and punitive damages – claimed the Speed star struck him with his Porsche in March 2007.
But attorneys for Reeves, 44, who testified in the trial, pointed out contradicting statements by Silva and then presented the jury with video of the photographer using his injured hand to climb down a fence after shooting video of Britney Spears.
After taking a break from the trial over the weekend, the jury met Monday morning and unanimously rejected the case after less than three hours of deliberations.

While making the Richard Linklater film A Scanner Darkly, a bearded Keanu Reeves has been busily taking in Austin's nightlife. One favorite haunt has proved to be local eatery La Traviata, where he dined Tuesday night on a spicy shrimp and pasta dish and champagne before sharing a lemon tart with his female companion. (After dinner he laid out a platinum American Express card, though they split the tab.) The Matrix star, 39, apparently loves this pasta dish – he's ordered it several times at the cozy bistro, we're told. Recently, a group of teenage girls celebrating a friend's birthday there tried not to stare at Reeves – but the soft-spoken star stopped by their table anyway on his way out and congratulated the guest of honor. Unfortunately, the locals weren't so hospitable on a different night at the popular Dog & Duck Pub – Reeves got up and left when an inebriated patron began heckling him.
