Fifty Shades of Grey: Who Should Play Christian Grey?

E L James may be a self-professed "control freak" about the process of bringing her erotic trilogy to movie theaters. But the author may want to take note of her rabid fan base – and just which actor they envision on the big screen.
The not-safe-for-work novel Fifty Shades of Grey is sitting pretty atop multiple best-seller lists, and women everywhere are talking about its protagonist, Anastasia Steele, and her troubled, controlling man, 27-year-old multi-millionaire Christian Grey. And after a Da Vinci Code-esque bidding war, Universal Studios and Focus Features came out on top and will release the film adaptation.
While Christian Bale (circa American Psycho) and Michael Fassbender (of Shame fame) immediately come to mind (as do Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson, for obvious reasons), PEOPLE.com readers – and our staff! – also had plenty of suggestions.
Which actor could best embody the young and "very attractive," tall, finely dressed character with "unruly dark-copper-colored hair and intense, bright gray eyes"?

Kellan Lutz and Sharni Vinson had a sweet night out at Sugar Factory American Brasserie in Las Vegas together. The actor and his lady joined friends for a family-style feast – thin-crust pepperoni pizza for him, and a tuna Niçpose salad for her. The duo laughed and smiled with their friends throughout dinner, and also shared an oversized red velvet sundae before heading next door where they picked up candy at the eatery's retail space. Lutz made sure to take pictures with fans – then went straight for the gummy bears.

It was a who's who of Young Hollywood at the opening night bash of Greystone Manor Supperclub (formerly Industry) in L.A. Kellan Lutz, with his newly darkened do partied alongside Joe Jonas. There was also a mini-Dancing with the Stars reunion at the fête, as former contestants Elisabetta Canalis and Lance Bass danced the night away with pros Derek Hough and Maksim Chmerkovskiy. – Jennifer Garcia

The Band Perry celebrated their CMA wins at the star-studded BMLG/PEOPLE Country Afterparty at Nashville's Pinnacle Building. Guests at the CMA bash all enjoyed savory snacks from a risotto bar and treats from a dessert cart that was wheeled around the party. To drink, guests were offered Starbucks Via-tinis. Attendees such as Taylor Swift, Kellan Lutz and Reese Witherspoon mingled in a VIP area. Swift was spotted giving out hugs to revelers and chatting with Witherspoon, and Swift's dad happily high-fived fellow party guests.

Kellan Lutz says he sets personal and professional goals for himself every year – and he's about to cross another off his list.
"I always wanted to play a Greek god in something," the hunky actor, who will portray Poseidon in the upcoming movie Immortals, tells Men's Fitness.
The often-shirtless Lutz, 26, certainly has the physique for it, and maintained his typically intense exercise regimen while shooting the film.

"Walking both of my dogs is the biggest workout ever," he told PEOPLE at the WWE and Creative Coalition's Be a STAR event in L.A. on Thursday. I have these two leashes which I'm constantly twirling, and they zigzag! They are just all over the place. It's a workout!"

"I would read the [horoscopes] in the back of Cosmo when I was younger to see what girls like, or which girls I should date," the Twilight actor, 26, tells PEOPLE.
These days, a little color might help boost his confidence when it comes to the opposite sex.
"I feel like I'm full of my vitamin C now," the single star jokes of no longer having to be vampire-pale. "It feels amazing!"
