Live! with Kelly ... and Seth?
Months after Regis Philbin left his morning post of 28 years in November – shortening Live! with Regis and Kelly to the more succinct Live! with Kelly – the search for his successor is down to three familiar faces, including Saturday Night Live's Seth Meyers.
According to one report, Meyers is the frontrunner. Also said to be vying for Philbin's seat next to Ripa are New York Giants veteran Michael Strahan and singer Josh Groban.

Chris Colfer is dealing with an identity crisis at home.
During an appearance Monday on Live! with Kelly, the Glee star talked about his recently adopted, 22-lb. senior cat, Brian.
"He's a lot of cat," Colfer said of his 8-year-old brown tabby. "He's a little bit in denial about his size and thinks he's very, very small. I go home and find him stuffed in all kinds of things."

Peter Facinelli and Jennie Garth may be going through a divorce, but according to Facinelli, the split is not a nasty one.
"Jen and I are doing really well," Facinelli told Kelly Ripa on Wednesday's Live! With Kelly, where he was a guest co-host. "She'll always be in my life."

To play Ghost Rider, the vigilante antihero whose head is a flaming skull, Nicolas Cage looked to source material that was close to home.
"When you're playing something that's completely outside of your reference point, who you want to project as kind of like a bad dream, something enigmatic, something you don't understand, you have to look at other sources to inspire the body language," Cage told Kelly Ripa and Josh Groban on Live! With Kelly last month.

Nick Lachey revealed the news that he and wife Vanessa Lachey are expecting their first child on Live! With Kelly Monday morning.
And when he returned to co-host with Ripa on Tuesday, the excited dad-to-be kept the baby talk going.
Asked if he'll be coaching Vanessa, 31, in the delivery room, Lachey, 38, outlined his game plan.
"I've been told – because that's what happens now, I'm told things – that it's going to be a waist-up situation, if you know what I mean," said Lachey.

"Some people ask, 'Why has the show stayed on so long?' " Regis Philbin said on his final broadcast of Live! with Regis and Kelly Friday. "People tell me why they watch it ... because it makes them feel better. And it can't get any better than that. It makes them happy. "
After 28 years on Live!, Regis Philbin signed off for the final time Friday in front of a studio audience filled with family, friends and celebrities, as well as a nationwide TV viewership.
"Every morning, I'll think about this," he told co-host Kelly Ripa as they walked down the hallway to the studio for their final show together. "Thank you for everything," said a teary Ripa as they embraced before the show. "I love you."

Regis Philbin, who is leaving Live! with Regis & Kelly in November, picked up a Daytime Emmy Award for best talk-show host Sunday, an honor he shared with co-host Kelly Ripa and Dr. Mehmet Oz of The Dr. Oz Show.
It was the fifth Daytime Emmy for Philbin, 79, following two wins in 2001 (best game-show host and talk-show host), one in 2006, and a lifetime achievement award in 2008.
Philbin has never won for best talk show, and he and Ripa came up short again this year, as The Ellen Degeneres Show won that award for the sixth time.

For Kelly Ripa, the cancelation of All My Children is like a death in the family.
"All My Children was more than a job," the actress said in a statement Thursday. "It was my family. It was there that I met my husband; it was there when my first two children were born; it was there where I met many of my life-long friends."
Continued Ripa: "It was the greatest training ground ever. I feel heart sick."

Is Kelly Ripa the great pumpkin … thief? At the Hamptons International Film Festival last weekend, the talk-show hostess, 40, tells In the Mixx that there are pumpkins growing in a field near her home – and she's tempted to go take one for herself.
"I said to [husband] Mark [Consuelos], 'What would happen if I ran into that field and just took a pumpkin?' " Ripa said. "I'm not going to do it, obviously, but there's a piece of me that's … desperate to find out what would happen if I ran in and grabbed a pumpkin."
