Feeling Faint Sent Kelsey Grammer Back to Hospital

Kelsey Grammer was hospitalized Monday as a precautionary measure after feeling faint following his recent heart attack.

The actor's publicist Stan Rosenfield confirmed to PEOPLE: "He felt faint yesterday morning so he decided to go to the hospital and get checked out."

Grammer, 53, who suffered a mild heart attack in June after paddle surfing with his wife in Hawaii, began feeling ill while promoting his new film Swing Vote in New York.

Kelsey Grammer, who suffered a mild heart attack seven weeks ago, says pressure from his canceled sitcom Back to You contributed to his health problems.

"It was a very stressful time for me, and a surprise to me [that it was canceled]," Grammer, 53, said Wednesday while promoting his drama-comedy, Swing Vote, in L.A. "But you know, everything that doesn't kill us – which it almost did – makes us stronger."

Kelsey Grammer Released from the Hospital

Kelsey Grammer was released Wednesday from a Hawaiian hospital where he was recovering from a mild heart attack.

The 53-year-old Frasier star is "resting comfortably at his Hawaiian residence," his rep says, and "wishes to thank those who phoned, emailed, or wrote expressions of concern to him."

Grammer experienced symptoms Saturday after paddle boarding with his wife Camille. He was taken a local hospital where it was found he had suffered the heart attack.

Kelsey Grammer was hospitalized in Hawaii after suffering a mild heart attack, his rep says.

The 53-year-old Frasier star is "resting comfortably" and expected to be released early this week, the rep says in a statement.

"Grammer experienced symptoms Saturday morning after paddle boarding with his wife Camille at their Hawaiian home," the statement says. "Grammer was immediately taken to an area hospital where it was determined that he had a mild heart attack."
