From Kristen Stewart's cheating scandal, to Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes's sudden split and Prince Harry's nude photos, it's been a busy summer of celebrity news – and on Thursday, when Kevin Hart hosts the MTV Video Music Awards in L.A.'s Staples Center (8 p.m. ET), there's a good chance these could get a mention.
"The beauty of me being the host is you don't know what to expect," the comedian, 32, told reporters during a press conference on Tuesday. "Nobody is off limits. I think it's my job to put the room in a place where people can relax and have a good time. And the best way to do that is to show people they can poke fun at themselves."

Funny man Kevin Hart may be "the new sexy," but the women who approach the stand-up comic are attracted to something other than his jokes.
"I get attention [from the ladies], but for some reason, it goes to my dog," Hart says. "They're like, 'Oh my god – he's so cute!' I'm like, 'Well, I've been working out.' And they're like, 'Not you, the dog. We love the dog. Can we hold it?'"
The dog in question is Hart's 9-month-old miniature pinscher, Riggs, who Hart initially brought home for his 6-year-old daughter. In the months since, Riggs has burrowed his way into somebody else's – well, heart.
