The heist flick Criminal (opening Sept. 10) is anything but a romance, but the stylish thriller starring John C. Reilly (Chicago, Boogie Nights) does have at least one tender moment: a kiss between Maggie Gyllenhaal, 26, and Mexican heartthrob Diego Luna (Y Tu Mama Tambien), 24. But before you get all excited about a new on-set romance, the stars say the smooch was not the steamiest. "Kissing him was just sweet," says Gyllenhaal. "Diego seems like he could be a friend of my brother's (actor Jake, 23). He's a little younger than me. He's like a cutie pie! It actually wasn't, like, that hot thing. It was sweet and lovely." As for his experience with Gyllenhaal, Luna says: "I have to say with Maggie, the greatest thing is that there's always a lot happening in her eyes. You can see a lot of what she's feeling. She has very expressive eyes. You see everything through her."

SOLD: A collection of 19 letters, cards and notes from Princess Diana to her therapist Chryssie Fitzgerald as she chronicled the disintegration of her marriage to Prince Charles fetched nearly $33,000 at auction in England, according to reports. Of greatest interest was a letter dated October 1994, telling of Diana's reaction to former Army major James Hewitt's public revelations of their affair. "I was in a total state of shock," Diana wrote. That note sold for $6,000.
