Celebrity Twitter: Too Much Information!

Originally posted 05/30/2009 11:15AM

Twitter etiquette comes easier to some celebrities than others.

Earlier this week, Al Roker made headlines when he posted pictures on his Twitter page taken with his cellphone while he was doing jury duty at Manhattan Supreme Court. Fail! The Today show weatherman ended up apologizing to court officials for breaking the rules.

And he's not the first star to raise eyebrows over a tweet. Let us recount our favorite examples of celebrity TMI (too much information) on Twitter.

Kinda Cute
Taylor Swift (@taylorswift13): The car just arrived to take us to the airport. Taped to the seat in front of me is a sign: "Taylor, don't forget your retainer. Dad"..Nice.
• Omarosa from The Apprentice (@omarosa): correction: the dog is walking me* I can barely keeps up * i hope he poops soon or I am going to be late

What's the Word ... Uninhibited?
• Lisa Rinna (@lisarinna): now that the hubby is tweeting 24/7 as i am will we need to start having twittersex? is there such a thing?
• Kirstie Alley (@kirstiealley): Although no one has asked I like this new name for a vagina..A POLLY WOG..yes I tried that term out today and got good feed back..YOU?

Valerie Bertinelli to Kirstie Alley: Come Work Out with Me!

Originally posted 05/07/2009 10:40AM

When Kirstie Alley spotted Valerie Bertinelli's killer bikini body on a recent cover of PEOPLE, "it blew my mind!," the TV star says. "She didn't just look good – she looked stunning! It was inspiring."

And a little ironic for Alley, who confesses to PEOPLE that she has put on 83 lbs. Once a spokeswoman for Jenny Craig, Alley, 58, actually helped bring Bertinelli, 49, on board as a new face for the company in March 2007.

Kirstie Alley: 'Yes, I Gained 83 Pounds'

Originally posted 05/06/2009 06:00AM

When Kirstie Alley stepped on the scale for the first time in 15 months, it wasn't pretty. "I started screaming," recalls Alley, sipping homemade fruit-infused water in her Hollywood kitchen. "It said 228 lbs., which is my highest weight ever. I was so much more disgusting than I thought!"

But looking back, Alley, 58, is hardly shocked. During her three-year stint as a Jenny Craig spokeswoman, she famously trimmed down to 145 lbs. after losing and keeping off 75 lbs. But since parting ways with the company in 2007, she had not worked out and banished her gym equipment to the garage. As for her diet, her small, low-calorie portions gave way to Chinese takeout and pasta drenched with butter. "I fell off the horse," says the 5'8" star.

Kirstie Alley has a sympathetic ear in Oprah Winfrey when it comes to weight loss – and gain.

In an interview scheduled to air on Thursday's The Oprah Winfrey Show , the former Jenny Craig spokeswoman discusses her recent weight fluctuations – and reveals an unlikely inspiration in her drive to get fit.

"We look around. We see what we want," says Alley, 58. "Don't you look around and see what you want to look like? I'm, like, 'Look, Michelle Obama's guns. I could have those arms,' " she says. "I don't know about the legs."

Kirstie Alley is no Fat Actress! So says pal – and fellow Jenny Craig spokeswoman – Valerie Bertinelli.

And while less-than-flattering photos of Alley have appeared in magazines and on the Internet, Bertinelli insists her friend has not regained the weight she famously lost while representing the diet company.

"I don't know what those photographs might say, and I don't necessarily see a lot of them," the former One Day at a Time star told Entertainment Tonight. "I have heard of them, but I disagree. When I have been with Kirstie, she looks terrific."

Confessions of Two Ex-Fat Actresses

"Is that really me? Did you stretch me somehow?" Valerie Bertinelli stares at the image of herself on a photographer's monitor in disbelief. He tells her no, he hasn't used any computer tricks; rather, after losing 30 lbs. in just over four months as a Jenny Craig spokeswoman, she really is that slim. Hearing that, Bertinelli, 47, tears up a bit. "I want to get to the size I was when [my son] Wolfie was in kindergarten 10 years ago," says Bertinelli, who split with hubby Eddie Van Halen in 2001. (For the past three years she has been dating Tom Vitale, 46, a financial planner.) "I know I can do that. I hope!" Cheering her along every step of the way? None other than fellow Jenny Craig pitchwoman Kirstie Alley, 56, who says she has kept off the 75 lbs. she dropped on the plan. As stars now known as much for the fluctuations of their scales as for career highs like One Day at a Time and Cheers, Bertinelli and Alley convened in L.A. for a frank conversation with PEOPLE's Maureen Harrington about what it feels like to be big – literally big – in Hollywood.
