Kaela Humphries Changes Her Athlete's Diet – and Loses 40 Lbs.

As a former competitive swimmer and now a plus-sized model, Kaela Humphries is used to having her professional life linked to her body.
Unfortunately, as an athlete in high school and college, her eating and exercising regimen was much different than it is now that she's stopped swimming.
"You are sort of used to living and eating a certain way, and then you are like, 'Oh my God, I can't eat 10 meals a day and 10,000 calories anymore,' " Humphries, 29, tells PEOPLE about having to alter her routine. "On top of that, I'm approaching 30 and it gets harder to lose weight the older you get."
The sister of Kim Kardashian's ex, Kris Humphries, Kaela says her post-swimming size fluctuated from size 10 or 12 when she was in high school to an 18 after college.

Kim Kardashian wants her ex-husband Kris Humphries to sign on the dotted line.
A lawyer for the reality star, 31, who filed for divorce from Humphries, 27, in October after 72 days of marriage, told an L.A. judge Friday it's time to move forward with proceedings, according to the Associated Press.
"I feel that [Humphries]' personal feelings and maybe some media drive is keeping this case alive," Laura Wasser said, adding that the pair are now eligible for divorce because it has been six months since the filing.

Khloé Kardashian supports her sister Kim's budding relationship with Kanye West – which is more than she did with Kim's whirlwind 72-day marriage to Kris Humphries.
"Honestly, we've known Kanye forever," she tells Ellen DeGeneres on Wednesday's The Ellen DeGeneres Show. "He's been a great family friend. I love Kanye."
Though she shies away from explicitly confirming that her sister is dating the rapper, Khloé did say: "I think they're cute together. ... I think friendship is where good relationships stem from."
As for her sister's marriage, Khloé says she tried to warn Kim before her wedding that she didn't think it was a good match.

While Kim Kardashian says she'd like nothing more than to put her ill-fated marriage to Kris Humphries behind her, she's not quite ready to divulge more about a current relationship.
Asked by Today show co-host Ann Curry in a live studio interview Friday if she and Kanye West are an item, Kardashian, 31, would say only, "Kanye and I have been friends for years. ... You never know what the future holds."
Part of Kardashian's reticence might stem from, as she herself mentioned, the fact that she and Humphries are still legally married.

It looks like Kim Kardashian is ready for romance.
Although she told British Cosmopolitan in an interview that was done months ago that she wasn't ready to date – she has changed her tune.
The reality star, who is still fighting to legally end her 72-day marriage to basketball player Kris Humphries, has moved on romantically with her longtime friend, musician Kanye West.
"Kim and Kanye have now just started dating," a source close to the situation tells PEOPLE.

Responding to critics who said she profited off of her 72-day marriage to Kris Humphries, Kim Kardashian quipped Monday that filing for divorce from the New Jersey Nets star was "a bad business decision."
"If you really think about it, if [the marriage] was a business decision, and I really made all that money that everyone was claiming that we made off this wedding, and if the wedding was fake and just for TV … I'm a smart business woman. I would have stayed married longer," Kardashian said sarcastically, while appearing as Kelly Ripa's co-host on Live! With Kelly Monday morning. "This was a bad business decision. If you really think about it, it doesn't make sense."

Kris Humphries wants to move on following his high-profile split from Kim Kardashian. But it seems some NBA fans prefer to dwell on it.
Humphries, 26, who re-signed with the New Jersey Nets on Tuesday, was loudly and repeatedly booed by New York Knicks fans Wednesday night during a pre-season game at Madison Square Garden, ESPN reports.
Each time he touched the ball, Humphries got an earful. He played only six minutes but was harangued even while on the bench, having to listen to chants of "We want Humphries! We want Humphries!"

Kris Humphries is getting back together with a familiar partner this winter, but it isn't Kim Kardashian. It's the New Jersey Nets.
Humphries, 26, whose tumultuous off-season included a 72-day marriage to the reality star, 31, re-signed on Tuesday with the Nets, the same team he played for last year.
Yahoo! Sports was the first to report the news.
The 6-ft.-9-in. power forward averaged 10 points and 10 rebounds per game for the Nets last season. His new deal is reportedly for one year and $8 million.
