Kristen Bell Has a 'Safe Zone' with Dax Shepard

Let the other celebrities have their parties, clubs, and run-ins with the paparazzi. For Kristen Bell, nothing beats a night at home with boyfriend Dax Shepard over a good board game.
"There is almost nothing, barring a natural disaster, that I would let eat into my time at home, playing Scrabble with Dax or talking to my girlfriends," Bell, 29, tells Women's Health in its November issue, hitting newsstands Tuesday. "There's packing your day and then there's jam-packing your day, and I won't do it anymore. I need to decompress. I need to feel like I'm a person – a human being – first."
Of course, the couple, who've been together for years now, got to enjoy some of the comforts of home on the set when they filmed the movie When in Rome together.

Kristen Bell's Essential Travel Item: Butterscotch Pudding

When Kristen Bell went to exotic Bora Bora to film Couples Retreat, there was one thing she made sure to pack in abundance: snacks.
"I do travel with a lot of snacks," the actress said while promoting the new comedy, due out Oct. 9. "I was concerned about the food in Bora Bora, and so I packed a lot ... I like knowing what I'm eating. I don't like mystery dishes."
Bell says her luggage was stocked with granola bars, Power Bars, Luna Bars and especially butterscotch pudding. "I knew that all I needed was water and a mini-fridge, both of which I had in Bora Bora – in my contract," she laughed. "I made little dishes of pudding, and we had them for dessert."

It's official: Ladies love getting their geek on at Comic-Con.
Even though it's been perceived in the past as a "fanboys only" festival, some of Hollywood's hottest actresses are embracing it as their own as they meet their most passionate audience. Some even want to sneak around in costume!
New Moon star Kristen Stewart – this year's "Con Queen" – had several thousand devoted Twilighters flocking to San Diego to catch a sneak peak of her film's footage and see her and her costars.
"This is definitely a high," said Stewart. "It's a little overwhelming to have so many people here, but I guess that's a good thing. Just judging from past experiences – when I show up at these sort of places, I'm sort of blown away and in this case I was ready for it."
Ready or not, the fanaticism can be contagious. "Certainly there is a major geek within me, actually, just kind of right on the surface," laughed Scarlett Johansson, who wore exotic Christian Louboutin heels she called her "super-hero booties" while promoting Iron Man 2. "I have never experienced anything like this before, two weeks after filming has wrapped. It's exciting to be a part of something that kind of has this built-in fan base that's got this electricity around it."

The actress, whose bags were misplaced en route to New York, loaded up on chic dresses and summer essentials at the store, a source says. Bell had been on location in Rome filming her appropriately titled comedy, When In Rome.

Kristen Bell says there's one person she's never forgetting: Detroit Red Wings star Chris Osgood.
Maybe not a household name to non-hockey fans, but Bell says that growing up as a tomboy in Detroit, she considered Osgood "my first crush."
"Brad Pitt be damned – he had nothing on Osgood's rookie skill and sad eyes," Bell, 26, says on NHL.com. "There was actually a day in high school when I wrote on a name tag 'Mrs. Osgood' and wore it the whole day. I really thought we were perfect for each other. I'd love to meet him – and probably apologize that things never worked out."

Kristen Bell Has a Thick Skin About Rumors

She's been linked to Justin Timberlake and was accused of getting breast implants, but Kristen Bell doesn't let rumors get under her skin.
"I could spend all day weeping about the bad parts of this career, but I wouldn't change it ... You just buck up and build a thicker skin, you know?" the actress, 27, tells Cosmopolitan magazine in its May issue.
Bell, who is currently dating Dax Shepard, 33, and starring in the upcoming comedy Forgetting Sarah Marshall, denied an alleged romance with Timberlake. In fact, she's never even come face-to-face with the "SexyBack" singer. "I've never even met him, so you can understand why I was surprised to read an article about our torrid love affair," the Heroes star says.

They walked in holding hands, and immediately started browsing the Los Angeles-themed shirts, hunting for ones featuring their favorite neighborhoods. When Bell finally found the "Studio City" shirt she'd been hunting for, she got really excited and the two celebrated with a very long kiss.
