Robert Pattinson: What Happens in My Pants Stays in My Pants

Before director David Cronenberg's new movie about a young, rich financier, Cosmopolis, was unveiled at the Cannes Film Festival, its star, Robert Pattinson, did a little revelation of his own – though, apparently, not as much as his director had requested.

In an interview for Metro France that quickly got picked up around the festival, the Twilight star, 26, was quoted as saying, "Five minutes before we filmed, David told me, 'I want to see the bottom of your balls on the top of the frame.' At the moment, I reminded myself that I would do anything for him. So I went back to see him and told him that wouldn't happen."

And how did the filmmaker of The Fly, Scanner, Eastern Promises and A Dangerous Method react to his leading man's decision?

When in Rome ... or rather, Cannes.

Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson absorbed the romance of the French Riviera on Wednesday, sharing a kiss after a screening of Stewart's film On the Road at the Cannes Film Festival.

Finding time for a private moment together, Stewart, 22, leaned in to Pattinson, 26, and he kissed her forehead.

On the Road is an adaptation of Jack Kerouac's 1950s novel, and Stewart plays the main character Dean Moriarty's wife Marylou.

Thanks to her packed schedule, Kristen Stewart spends less time at home in L.A. than she would like, jetting from London to Cannes before taking off for some other distant locale.

Once her latest film, Snow White and the Huntsman, opens in June, the actress will be back home, and she can't wait.

"I want now only to be with my boys," Stewart tells the New York Post. "I'm dying when I'm away from them. My two mutts. A yellow Lab and a shepherd. I can't stand it. They're what I miss."

Shy? Not Kristen Stewart who says she didn't flinch when it came to filming the sex scenes in the long-awaited film version of Jack Kerouac's 1957 classic, On the Road.

Asked Wednesday at a Cannes Film Festival press conference about a particularly raw scene in which she – playing a character based on the freewheeling, sexually adventurous first wife of Kerouac's legendary friend, Neal Cassady – appears topless while sitting in a car seat between costars Sam Riley (in the Kerouac role) and Garrett Hedlund (in Cassady's), Stewart said she "wanted to do it."

"I love pushing. I love scaring myself," said Stewart about her portrayal of Marylou, who is based on Luanne Henderson. (Henderson, along with Kerouac, Cassady, Allen Ginsberg and Cassady's second wife, Carolyn, were among the most iconic members of the Beat Generation.) "I've always wanted to get as close to an experience as I could."

Sacha Baron Cohen kicked off the tradition of Cannes publicity stunts Wednesday when he appeared as his latest alter ego to promote his new comedy, The Dictator. Cohen arrived atop his camel, Osama, bringing the iconic Croisette promenade to a standstill in the process.

Four-legged arrivals aside, this year's Cannes Film Festival promises to be one of the most star-studded in years with some of Hollywood's biggest names scheduled to appear. Bruce Willis and Bill Murray were also photographed Wednesday on the red carpet for Wes Anderson's Moonrise Kingdom, which opens the festival.

Others on the list of expected VIP attendees: The reigning king and queen of Cannes, Angelina Jolie and fiancé Brad Pitt (his new crime drama, Killing Them Softly premieres at the festival), though they may have some competition in the supercouple category this year.

In her role as Katniss Everdeen in The Hunger Games, Jennifer Lawrence takes on blood-thirsty mutts and killer bees (not to mention the expert Careers with killer instincts and good looks).

But can she take on the funny ladies of Bridesmaids?

Her bow and arrow won't help her much when her film goes head-to-head with the ensemble comedy at this year's MTV Movie Awards, where both The Hunger Games and Bridesmaids are nominated eight times (for movie of the year, best cast and breakthrough performance, among other categories).

Chris Hemsworth Caresses Comatose Kristen Stewart in Snow White & the Huntsman Clip

Originally posted 04/30/2012 02:05PM

"What would you give to see her again?"

That's the eerie question asked by the evil Queen Ravenna (Charlize Theron) when Huntsman Chris Hemsworth sees his protégé Snow White, felled by the Queen's poison apple, in the new trailer for Snow White & the Huntsman.

It's just about the only time Snow White (Kristen Stewart) stops fighting: this incarnation of the fabled beauty befriends terrifying monsters, dives off cliffs and expertly wields a sword. She even wears armor on the Snow White & the Huntsman soundtrack cover, striking a pensive pose as warring knights clash behind her. (The soundtrack's first single, "Breath of Life," by Florence + The Machine, can be heard in the clip above.)

Breaking Dawn: Part 2 Trailer: Bella Becomes a Vampire

Originally posted 03/26/2012 09:45AM

Bella is back!

After spending half of Breaking Dawn wasting away due to a very complicated pregnancy, Bella Swan (Kristin Stewart) has crossed over to immortality.

In the newly released trailer for Breaking Dawn: Part 2, Bella is now a vampire. "After 18 years of being utterly ordinary," she says, "I finally found that I can shine."

Complete with red eyes and pale skin, the transformed Bella is seen caressing her love Edward (Robert Pattinson) as he tells her, "[You're] so beautiful. We're the same temperature now."

The short clip ends with a frightening shot of Bella stalking a deer in the woods. There will no doubt be more action for the vampires – and werewolves – in Breaking Dawn: Part 2, which hits theaters on Nov. 16.
