Kristin Davis and her Sex and the City character, Charlotte, may have both been unlucky in love at one time or another, but it seems Davis has now found a match in celebrity photographer Russell James.

"It's been going on for a bit now," says a source close to the actress. "She's very supportive of him – she seems very happy."

On July 20, the pair joined another pal at Katsuya Brentwood for dinner in Los Angeles. James and Davis, 44, sat in an intimate booth, sharing one very small side of a bench, and were affectionate throughout dinner, says a witness. Davis rested her head against his shoulder.

For the next go-round of Sex and the City, Kristin Davis is hoping that her character, Charlotte, has "more dogs – but not more kids."

Even in real life the actress, 44, is leaving the children to her co-star Sarah Jessica Parker, who is expecting twin girls via surrogate just before filming of the SATC sequel is set to start.

"We're very excited," Davis tells PEOPLE about the babies. "I [will] get to hold one, when Sarah is holding the other."

Kristin Davis Says She's No Charlotte York

Once and for all separating fact from fiction, Kristin Davis has made it clear that unlike her marriage obsessed Sex and the City character Charlotte York, she is happy being single.

"[In my twenties], I thought I'd never get married. I guess I was right!” Davis laughed as she addressed a crowd at the SKYY Vodka screening of the movie in Hollywood on Thursday.

"I grew up in the South so all everyone talked about was marriage," said the actress, who dressed very much like her sophisticated Upper East Side fictional counterpart in sky-high Christian Louboutin shoes and a sparkling silver and black cocktail dress. "But all I wanted was to move to New York and do theater. And in my thirties, I was busy doing the show so I just didn't have time."

Inside Sex and the City's After-After Party

Originally posted 05/28/2008 02:15PM

The New York premiere may have kicked off at 6 p.m., but the cast and crew of Sex and the City: The Movie partied 'til three in the morning, with two after parties!

After Sex's big New York homecoming at the Radio City Music Hall and an after party at the Museum of Modern Art, the film's inner circle – including Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon, Jason Lewis and director Michael Patrick King – celebrated the night away at an exclusive after-after party at The Carlyle hotel.

Around midnight, with husband Matthew Broderick, Parker escaped the MOMA, arriving at the hotel's legendary Bemelmans Bar, which she requested (she had her honeymoon at The Carlyle in 1997). They intimately enjoyed cocktails and mini-burgers before the arrival of some of Parker's closest friends and colleagues.

The Sex and the City foursome created a fashion and film sensation on the pink carpet outside New York's Radio City Music Hall for the U.S. premiere of their movie Tuesday night.

"The best part about making the movie was being back with the women on the set all day every day, and the best part about tonight is being here ... with the fans," Sarah Jessica Parker said as the crowds squealed and waved around her.

Parker wore a glamorous Nina Ricci gown, complemented with dazzling Fred Leighton jewels, as did Kristin Davis, who donned Donna Karan and 19th Century diamonds. Cynthia Nixon chose a Narciso Rodriguez dress, and Kim Cattrall embodied her inner "Samantha" in a low-cut, beaded Vivienne Westwood cocktail dress.

Is Kristin Davis's next role going to be real-life mom? Not unlike her Sex in the City character Charlotte, she's open to having kids by any means possible.

Angelina's Environmental Work Threatened

Originally posted 02/08/2005 09:00AM

THREATENED: Angelina Jolie's work to protect an area of Cambodian land is reportedly being threatened by an influx of settlers. The land, located in northwest Cambodia, is forestland that a conservation group funded by the actress hopes to protect, and once belonged to the Khmer Rogue regime, which ruled the country in the 1970s. Jolie has donated $1.5 million to the conservation efforts, but some 1,000 people have recently settled in the area, cutting down the forest to grow crops. "The new settlers will attract more people to the area," a spokesman for the conservation group tells the Associated Press. "Any expansion of new settlement will affect our conservation work."
