The performance comes 18 years after lead singer Kurt Cobain took his own life at just 27 in 1994.

Frances Bean Cobain lashed out at her mother Courtney Love for claiming on Twitter than her late husband Kurt Cobain's bandmate Dave Grohl had "hit on" Frances and that "she was curious."
"While I'm generally silent on the affairs of my biological mother, her recent tirade has taken a gross turn," says Frances. "I have never been approached by Dave Grohl in more than a platonic way. I'm in a monogamous relationship and very happy."
Frances adds: "Twitter should ban my mother."

Is one of rock 'n' roll's most famous daughters ready to tie the knot?
Frances Bean Cobain, 19, the daughter of Courtney Love and the late Kurt Cobain, has been dating Isaiah Silva of L.A. band the Rambles for more than a year – and they may have taken the next step, reports the OC Weekly.
They each quietly changed their Facebook relationship status to engaged a few weeks ago, the paper says, and a source confirms their happy news of Cobain's engagement to PEOPLE. However, they have since changed their statuses back.
According to the report, the couple use fake names on Facebook – she goes by Frances Rachel Leigh Cook, he uses Isaiah David Berkowitz-Cusack. Screen shots of their Facebook pages also show comments that hint at an engagement.

When Kurt Cobain killed himself on April 5, 1994, he left behind two shell-shocked musicians who suddenly lost a close friend – but not their desire to make music.
"I remember the day after Kurt died, waking up and thinking, 'Wow, I get to wake up again. Okay. Make good with what you've got,' " Dave Grohl said Saturday in a radio interview with Jon Stewart to mark the 20th anniversary of Nirvana's seminal album Nevermind.
Asked if he thought he wouldn't be able to enjoy music again, Krist Novoselic said he had felt the opposite. "It was so much reality," Novoselic said, and he recalled thinking to himself: "No, I'm going to live."

With her soft, wistful expression and Old Hollywood glamour, Frances Bean Cobain's style is about as far as she can get from that of her parents, the late grunge rocker Kurt Cobain and her wild child mom, Courtney Love.
A new series of photos, taken by fine art photographer Rocky Schenck, captures the now-blonde 19-year-old alternating between sultry and sweet poses.
Cobain, an artist, also posed for some wildly different shots by Hedi Slimane that appeared earlier this month. In that set, she was a brunette shown smoking and covered in tattoos.

What Courtney Love wants, Courtney Love gets.
Contrary to reports suggesting the rocker was interested in Robert Pattinson playing her late-husband Kurt Cobain in a planned biopic, Love now says she never planned to enlist the Brit.
"Isn't that so stupid, who would cast him? That's just wrong," Love told The Canadian Press. "No offense." Softening her position a bit, the Hole frontwoman later Tweeted: "HEY I LIKE R PATZ HES JUST NOT RIGHT FOR KC!"
So, who would Courtney love to play Cobain? She nominated Ryan Gosling or James McAvoy for the role.

Robert Pattinson stirs up plenty of teen spirit – but does he have the chops to portray the late, great Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain?
The rocker's widow, Courtney Love, apparently thinks so: Love is working on a planned Cobain biopic and favors the Twilight star for the lead role, according to the U.K.'s Sun newspaper. (For the record, she wants to cast Scarlett Johansson to portray her.)
Pattinson, 23, is already something of a musician – he plays piano and guitar and even wrote two songs that were featured in the original Twilight movie. He has said that music is his backup plan in the unlikely event that his film career falters.

When Frances Cobain agreed to be a guest vocalist on pal Amanda Palmer's new concept album, headlines swirled that the 17-year-old daughter of Kurt Cobain and Courtney Love was following in her parents' musical footsteps.
Not so fast.
"She's got a great voice," Palmer says. "But she's a really good visual artist. She's really interested in graphic novels."
Cobain was intrigued by Palmer and fellow musician Jason Webley's concept for the album, Evelyn Evelyn, which focuses on twin singer-songwriter duo. Palmer was impressed with Cobain for more than her singing.

The proposed Kurt Cobain biopic will undoubtedly proceed without his blessing, but Dave Grohl, former Nirvana band mate and Foo Fighters frontman, is taking a stand when it comes to who should portray him.
"I don't know about anyone else, but I'm crossing my fingers that Shelley Duvall plays me," the musician deadpans to PEOPLE. And though it may seem to be an odd choice for casting directors, Grohl explains why the actress made famous by being chased around by an ax-weilding Jack Nicholson is the right "man" for the job.
"Shelley Duvall in The Shining ..." he says, laughing. "That is MY face, you cannot get any closer than that."
