Karina Smirnoff Sent to Hospital for Neck Injury at Dancing with the Stars Rehearsals

Jacoby Jones and Karina Smirnoff were practicing a flip when something went wrong.

Smirnoff landed on the NFL pro Sunday, twisting her neck and banging her face, and she had to be taken to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center for possible whiplash and a dislocated jaw, a source tells PEOPLE.

The ballroom pro later Tweeted that she was "still a bit sore" but would make it to Monday night's semi-finals on Dancing with the Stars..

Kellie Pickler Spent a 'Romantic' Honeymoon in Iraq

Kellie Pickler got married on a beautiful Caribbean island, but she honeymooned in a far less glamorous spot.

Following her Jan. 1, 2011, nuptials with Kyle Jacobs, the country singer, 25, spent a couple of luxurious nights relaxing as a newlywed – then she and her new hubby hopped on a plane to Iraq.

"That was part of my honeymoon," Pickler, who performs for troops as part of the USO, tells Parade magazine. "It was so romantic! No, it was just that I had already committed to going over there and I wasn't going to cancel because that wouldn't have been right."

Despite the location, the singer says her husband "loved it."

Kellie Pickler Gives Up Cat Pickles for Her Allergic Husband

She's made it through her first year of marriage to husband Kyle Jacobs, and Kellie Pickler is still feeling total newlywed bliss – almost.

"I love Kyle, he's my best friend," the country star told PEOPLE at the New York City unveiling of a cat sweater to benefit the ASPCA. "The only complaint that I would have with my husband is that I had to give up my cat."

Pickler's cat, Pickles, had been with the singer since 2006, when she wrapped American Idol. "I adopted him from an animal shelter out in Tennessee," she said. "He was my best friend. He went with me everywhere."

Kellie Pickler's Early Christmas Present: Her Marriage

Santa arrived early for Kellie Pickler, who is looking forward to her first Christmas as Mrs. Kyle Jacobs – but says she already has the best gift imaginable: their almost 1-year-old marriage.

"Marriage is so special," the country singer, 25, tells PEOPLE. "I never thought that I would get married, so I'm glad that I let that wall down. I'm glad that I let Kyle love me. He is the greatest blessing in my life."

The couple – who secretly wed Jan. 1, 2011, on an island in the Caribbean – never wait to express their love only on special occasions, but write their feelings down in journals for each other.

"I'm just lucky if I don't burn the house down," newlywed Kellie Pickler tells PEOPLE about her budding domestic skills. "I'm trying to work on the cooking thing, so it's a big deal if I get into the kitchen."

Pickler, who wed songwriter Kyle Jacobs on Jan. 1, also shared her biggest culinary struggle when it comes to dining with her hubby. "I haven't gotten him hooked on fried okra," Pickler, 24, said at Tuesday's 9th Annual Dressed to Kilt event at New York's Hammerstein Ballroom. "He hates that, but that's my favorite food. We gotta figure out how to get him to like it."

Kellie Pickler may have ditched her big wedding plans and eloped instead, but the country star captured her Caribbean wedding on video – and now its yours to see … for $2.

As the footage flickers, filtered by a sepia-toned lens that later gives way to brighter colors, an acoustic song, "Say I Do," sung by Pickler's husband, Kyle Jacobs, gives the video a sentimental underscore. The clip is currently for sale on iTunes.

"Don't need to see you in a wedding dress," he sings. "I don't need nothing but me and you/I just want to love you/Want you to love me, too."
