Kylie Minogue's Royal Honors

Kylie Minogue looked the part of pop royalty as she received a major honor from Prince Charles at Buckingham Palace Thursday.
The prince, 59, presented the Australian pop singer, 40, with an OBE (Order of the British Empire) for services to music at the grand ceremony.
Minogue, who first learned she would receive the honor last December in Queen Elizabeth's annual list, showed off her star power by wearing gold heels and a shiny off-white dress with large colored stars.
Describing herself as "humble and proud", she told reporters, "I expected to be a little nervous, obviously very excited, but it was very emotional seeing all these people from different walks of life joining together for this event."

The U.K. press is abuzz with speculation after the two shared a cozy lunch in Paris Wednesday.
According to the Daily Mail – which ran pictures of the two laughing and hugging at a sidewalk cafe – "their romance is back in full swing."

French Government 'Knights' Kylie Minogue

What do Ella Fitzgerald, Bob Dylan, Meryl Streep and T. S. Elliot have in common? They are considered as artistic as Kylie Minogue.
On May 5, Minogue will join those luminaries when the French government bestows upon her the title of Chevalier dans l'ordre des Arts et des Letters – Knight in the Order of Arts and Letters, one of France's highest cultural awards. Minogue, who turns 40 later this month, will be given the insignia of a knight.
"I am deeply honored to be recognized in this way," Minogue said in a statement after the honor was announced Friday. "French culture has influenced me greatly and I have always had colossal respect for the arts and people of France."

Kylie Minogue: Doctor Misdiagnosed My Cancer

A doctor mistakenly gave Kylie Minogue the all clear when she actually had breast cancer, the Australian singer told Ellen DeGeneres Monday.
A nervous-looking Minogue told DeGeneres that she had never publicly discussed the misdiagnosis before, but was inspired to speak out after an earlier guest on the show, U.S. presidential hopeful Senator Hillary Clinton, emphasized how vital early breast cancer detection is.
"Listen, this is an opportunity for me to say something that I have not said before," said Minogue when DeGeneres asked her about her own battle with the illness two years ago. "I was misdiagnosed initially. So my message to all of you and everyone at home is, because someone is in a white coat and using big medical instruments doesn't necessarily mean they are right."

Kylie Minogue wants to set the record straight: She is not back together with Olivier Martinez.
After a cozy weekend spent shopping, strolling and dining around Paris, the media went nuts writing about their reconciliation, their wedding plans and desire to start a family. Problem is, none of it is true, Minogue said Tuesday.
"I had dinner with my ex-boyfriend and next thing I know there's a debate about whether we're having a family," the singer told the Press Association, a British wire service. "We didn't even talk about that. As I've maintained, we're friends."

Kylie Minogue, Ian McKellen to Receive Royal Honors

Ian McKellen and Kylie Minogue are among those on this year's list of U.K. Honors, named annually by Queen Elizabeth II.
McKellen, 68, who is already a knight, was named a Companion of Honor – the highest royal honor in Britain. It is a title bestowed on 65 living people.
The Queen said the Lord of the Rings star was chosen for his "outstanding achievements as an actor and also for his work in championing the causes of diversity."

Kylie Minogue Reminisces on 'Lovely Time' with Olivier Martinez

Kylie Minogue weathered a high-profile breakup with actor Olivier Martinez, but she says she's not in "crisis talks" with the actor – and being single doesn't worry her at all.
"Being a fatalist, I always felt that a relationship runs for the duration that it's meant to run," she tells the Mail on Sunday's You magazine about her February split with Martinez. "We separated and that was that. It cracks me up that I was supposed to be in 'crisis talks' with Ollie. We did have a lovely time though, we definitely did."
Minogue, 39, has credited Martinez, 41, with helping her battle breast cancer. Despite the public speculation about her love life, she insists, "I feel quite fulfilled ... I've had good relationships."

Kylie Minogue Denies World Tour is Canceled

Kylie Minogue has demanded an apology from a British newspaper that is claiming she was forced to cancel a world tour because of health problems.
"Her representatives have asked the Mail to print a prominent apology for today's highly damaging story," according to a statement given to PEOPLE by her record company, EMI. "We would like to make it clear that the report in today's Daily Mail that Kylie has cancelled a forthcoming tour on doctor's orders is completely false."
