After a tough night on Dancing with the Stars Monday, Chaz Bono and partner Lacey Schwimmer were fired up.
The angry duo said the judges' comments were "disrespectful," and pointed in particular to the way Bruno Tonioli compared Bono to a penguin in his critique.
But on Tuesday, when the pair was eliminated from the competition, it sure seemed like Bono and Schwimmer had put any hard feelings behind them.
"I was quite angry last night," Bono, 42, told reporters backstage right after his dismissal. "But I feel really good today. I'm not leaving the show bitter or angry or anything. I'm grateful for Lacey and everybody I worked with on the show. It was a wonderful, life-changing experience. I'm so glad I did it."

Monday night was rough for Dancing with the Stars partners Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Hope Solo.
Aside from earning a score of 20 and being ridiculed for performing their "worst dance of the season," Chmerkovskiy, 31, didn't exactly charm viewers with his negative outburst in response to the judges' criticism.
But even though the duo had a less than stellar night, they still performed one point higher than fellow competitors Chaz Bono and Lacey Schwimmer, who ended up at the very bottom of the leaderboard.
Were voters turned off by Chmerkovskiy's meltdown? Or did consistent low scorers Schwimmer and Bono bid the ballroom adieu?

Maksim Chmerkovskiy isn't the only one upset with the judges on Dancing with the Stars.
Chaz Bono and Lacey Schwimmer, who once again scored the lowest (with only 19 points) for their Phantom of the Opera tango, feel particularly wounded by the judges' use of animal comparisons in critiquing the couple.
Bruno Tonioli offered this reaction to their routine: "It was like watching a cute little penguin try to be a big, menacing bird of prey. "It has to be menacing, dark, dangerous, hypnotic ... like a panther stalking."

Chaz Bono and partner Lacey Schwimmer once again landed at the bottom of the leader board this week on Dancing with the Stars.
Despite the 18-point finish, there's a new incentive to keep Bono in the ballroom.
"God hope Chaz hangs on till next week so I can come sit in the audience & watch," his mom Cher Tweeted Monday.
So did the Burlesque star's post inspire people to keep Chaz on the show?

He's already one of the most talked-about contestants on season 13 of Dancing with the Stars. And with the competition a little less than two weeks away, Chaz Bono's official DWTS portrait has been released.
In the photo, a smiling Bono, 42, is suited up in black pants, black tie and a black vest, standing next to his partner, Lacey Schwimmer, who's wearing a short and flirty red and black dress.
"We kind of instantly hit it off," Bono has said of Schwimmer. "She has a great attitude for teaching me."
And soon their official portrait may be out of date. Schwimmer recently told PEOPLE that the pounds are melting off of Bono as they ramp up their rehearsals.

Performing in elaborate costumes runs in the family for Chaz Bono.
So what does his mom, Cher, think of his upcoming turn on Dancing with the Stars?
"She really thought it was great that I was doing it and wanted to know how I was feeling about it, if I was nervous and how it was going," Bono told Ryan Seacrest Wednesday on his radio show, On Air with Ryan Seacrest.
Not that Cher had any advance warning. Bono said he had to keep the secret until last weekend because, as he tells it, "ABC put the fear of God into me."
