Laila Ali's Dog Dies

It was a sad day at Laila Ali’s house Thursday when the world champion athlete and former Dancing with the Stars contestant and her husband, Curtis Conway, had to say goodbye to their beloved 10-year-old cane corso Italian mastiff Smokey.
Ali Tweeted the news Friday morning: "Sadly, I had to put my dog Smokey down last night … I will miss him! This [triathalon] is for him!"
The athlete, who is "Mombassador" for the July 8 Aquaphor New York City Triathlon, tells PEOPLE she plans to dedicate her day to Smokey, whom she's had since he was 10 weeks old.

It's a girl for Laila Ali!
The former boxer and Dancing with the Stars alum gave birth to daughter Sydney on Monday, April 4, Ali Tweeted.
"I had my baby girl this morning! Sydney arrived on her due date at 3am!" wrote Ali. "Everyone is happy and healthy."
Ali, 33, and husband Curtis Conway are also parents to son Curtis 'C.J.' Muhammad Jr., 2½.

Laila Ali is expecting: The former Dancing With the Stars contestant and American Gladiator host exclusively shares the news with PEOPLE in a video message.
"I am pregnant again! I'm three months, and I'm so excited, my family is excited," says a beaming Ali. "I'm hoping it's a girl this time!"
Due in early April 2011, this will be the second child together for Ali, 32, and husband Curtis Conway, 39, who married in July 2007. Their first child, son Curtis Jr. – whom they call C.J. – is 2.

And in this corner, weighing in at 6.8 lbs., measuring 19 inches long and wearing the white diapers, is Laila Ali's littlest prize fighter ... Curtis Muhammad Conway!
The American Gladiator host, 30, and her husband, retired NFL star Curtis Conway, 37, welcomed their first son together, she announced on her Web site Thursday.
"Although mom and baby are both healthy and happy, there were some surprises during labor that altered Laila's birth plan," the statement said.

While Kristi Yamaguchi was kicking butt on the ballroom floor at the Dancing with the Stars finale on Tuesday night, Laila Ali was taking a beating in the audience. The six-months pregnant season four Dancing alum tells PEOPLE that her unborn son "was kicking me like crazy" during the show.
That's right, Ali and her husband, former NFL star Curtis Conway, are expecting a boy this September.
"We're going to name him Curtis Muhammad. This boy is going to be an athlete, definitely," a glowing Ali said. "I'm so blessed to be having such a smooth pregnancy. No cravings, no sickness. I don't feel pregnant other than I'm getting bigger."

Laila Ali and her husband, former NFL star Curtis Conway, are expecting their first child together, she confirms exclusively to Essence magazine.
"I don't know yet if we are having a boy or a girl, but I'm excited that I have a life inside me that my husband and I created," Ali says in the May issue, which hits newsstands April 11.
The boxing champ, who co-hosts American Gladiators, and Conway married last July in the rose garden of the Ritz-Carlton in Marina del Rey, Calif.
Among the 200 guests were Laila's parents, Muhammad Ali and Veronica Porsche Anderson, along with her sister Hana Ali, who was a bridesmaid.
