Larry Birkhead Buys House in Kentucky Hometown

Larry Birkhead has purchased a 10,000-sq.-ft., six-bedroom house in his hometown of Louisville, Ky., for himself and 21-month-old daughter Dannielynn, he tells PEOPLE.
Birkhead, 35, says the house, which has 40-ft. ceilings and is modeled after a Sicilian church, was never completed, needs a lot of work, and right now "looks like a haunted house," but he loves it.
"When I walked in, I said to myself, 'This is our home!'" says Birkhead.
He adds he might sell the Los Angeles house where he's surrounded by memories of its former occupants – Dannielynn's mother, Anna Nicole Smith, and half-brother Daniel, who both died from drug-related complications.

Larry Birkhead and Dannielynn, his 1-year-old daughter with the late Anna Nicole Smith, are checking out real estate in Palm Beach, according to the Palm Beach Post.
"We're looking at the [real estate] market," the 35-year-old dad told the Florida newspaper. "There are obviously some buyers who could use a little help. I'm getting to know the area. It's the first time I've come here ... We looked at some places."

Dannielynn 'Resting Comfortably' After Eye Surgery

Larry Birkhead and Anna Nicole Smith's 1-year-old daughter Dannielynn is "resting comfortably" after undergoing corrective eye surgery, Birkhead tells Entertainment Tonight.
Dannielynn, who was diagnosed with strabismus (commonly known as a lazy eye), "is home from surgery and resting comfortably," Birkhead tells ET. "My thanks go out to Dr. Arthur Rosenbaum and the Jules Stein Eye Institute staff for taking great care of Dannielynn."
Birkhead, 34, previously admitted that it was tough to consider surgery for the child, but told PEOPLE on Sunday: "A lot of parents ... gave me a lot of support and a lot of encouraging words and gave me the strength. I'm a baby when it comes to needles myself, and I definitely don't want to hand my child over to some surgeons. So, it's a little nerve-racking but she's in the best doctors' hands."

Dannielynn – the one-year-old daughter of the late Anna Nicole Smith – is preparing for corrective eye surgery, her dad, Larry Birkhead, tells PEOPLE.
The toddler, who has been diagnosed with strabismus (commonly known as a lazy eye), is "doing really well," her father told PEOPLE at the Billboard and Children Uniting Nations Pre-Oscar bash at the Beverly Hilton Hotel on Sunday. "She's meeting all of her milestones and exceeding them and she's getting ready to have surgery."

Friday marks the one-year anniversary of the discovery of Anna Nicole Smith's lifeless body in a Florida hotel room – the sorrowful finish to a real-life soap opera that managed to both captivate and shock those who followed it.
Nowhere is Smith's passing more profoundly felt than in the late centerfold and reality-star's Los Angeles home, now occupied by Anna Nicole's 17-month-old daughter, Dannielynn, and the baby's father, Larry Birkhead.
"There's pictures everywhere in the house of her mom and of Daniel. She knows," Birkhead recently told PEOPLE. (Daniel, Smith's 19-year-old son, died only days after Dannielynn was born.)

Dannielynn Birkhead Battles Eye Problem

Anna Nicole Smith's daughter, Dannielynn, who celebrated her first birthday in September, is battling an eye problem.
"She has strabismus, which is a turning in of one of her eyes," her father, Larry Birkhead, 34, tells Entertainment Tonight, "and it's something that we've been looking out for for a while."
Birkhead, adding, "I've been taking her to the doctors," also explains that when she was living in the Bahamas, Anna Nicole, who died Feb. 8, 2007, "had taken Dannielynn to the doctor to see about it when she was just a few months old."
