Laura Leighton Returns for CW's New Melrose Place

Originally posted 04/06/2009 02:55PM

Laura Leighton's character Sydney Andrews is back from the dead to star in the CW's new version of Melrose Place.

"It was a near-fatal accident. You never actually saw her dead," says a source familiar with the show, referring to what looked like Sydney's demise in the original Melrose Place.

The cast is complete, says a source, and they'll start shooting the pilot next week.

Kidman said in a statement that she was grateful the court had granted the orders because she had been afraid to leave her home, reports the Associated Press.
