They've been together for more than a decade, but LeBron James and his new wife Savannah are clearly in the honeymoon stage following their lavish wedding in San Diego on Saturday.
The NBA MVP, 28, posted photos Wednesday to Instagram of himself and his bride kissing while dining at Rome's Antica Pesa, along with a loving note about his high-school sweetheart and mother of his two children.
"When u have someone that's always there for you no matter the ups and downs in life, it makes it all worth living for! So happy to call u Mrs. Savannah James #MyQueen #Backbone #QueenJames #Honeymoon," he wrote.

Basketball star LeBron James married his high school sweetheart, Savannah Brinson, on Saturday.
Hundreds of guests gathered at the Grand Del Mar resort in San Diego for the 4:30 p.m. ceremony, according to KFMB-TV, which obtained an invitation.
James, 28, proposed to his longtime girlfriend, 27, at a party on New Year's Eve 2011, and later admitted on Oprah's Next Chapter that he was nervous. "It felt like a finals game."

King James and his queen have set a date for their royal wedding.
LeBron James and longtime girlfriend Savannah Brinson – the mother of the NBA star's two children – have asked friends and family to block off the weekend of Sept. 13-15 for the nuptials in San Diego.
Guests have received a "Save the Weekend" note from the couple, featuring a caricature of the family all dressed up, grinning and piloting a plane into San Diego.

With the guests in the house serving as the de facto judging panel and the Miami Heat dancers providing a quick lesson, both teams "did old school Motown-style moves," an eyewitness tells PEOPLE, "but the guys deviated and put their own twist on it, while the girls stuck with their routine."

On Saturday night, Blue Ivy's pop star mom, her husband Jay-Z and LeBron James held court in Houston at the Sprite Two Kings private dinner at RDG + Bar Annie.
While fans were buzzing about the singer's new documentary, Life Is but a Dream, Beyoncé slipped into the late night event dressed in a white pantsuit with her honey-hued hair in curls.
As the event continued, Chef Robert del Grande served mixed surf and turf with starters of Maine lobster salad, seared foie gras po' boys and entrees including wood grilled prime beef and gulf red snapper.

There are few things more pressure-filled than helping a professional sports team win a national championship – but for LeBron James, one of them was popping the question to his longtime girlfriend, Savannah Brinson.
"I was nervous," James, 27, tells Oprah Winfrey on Oprah's Next Chapter. "It felt like before a finals game."
The Miami Heat star proposed to his high school sweetheart during a New Year's Eve party in South Beach.
"I knew all my teammates and my friends and family was going to be there, and I thought I was ready to make the next step in my commitment with Savannah," he tells Winfrey.

At a New Year's Eve dinner and party at SL nightclub at the Shelborne hotel in South Beach, the Miami Heat star, 27, proposed to his longtime girlfriend Savannah Brinson. And he got their kids in on the action as well.
Right after popping the question, James picked up the couple's sons LeBron Jr., 7, and Bryce, 4, and swung them around on the floor. "It was so sweet to watch," a rep for Remy Martin V, who hosted the dinner, tells PEOPLE. "Everyone is extremely happy."
