Her Glee alter ego doesn't get much edgier than a Madonna dance routine, but off camera, Lea Michele's inner bad girl makes an outward appearance – 14 times.
The actress, who plays Rachel Berry on the Fox series (whose finale season airs Tuesday night), flaunts more than a dozen tattoos and says her ink addiction runs in the family.
"I come from a very big Italian family, and tattoos are very popular," Michele, 25, said on Monday's Late Show with David Letterman. "We'll be like, 'Let's all get tattoos.' "

Glee costars Lea Michele and Cory Monteith, whose characters may soon be married on the show, engaged in some real-life PDA at Madison Square Garden on Wednesday – smooching their way through a playoff game between the New York Rangers vs New Jersey Devils.
Michele, 25, and Monteith, 30, at times seemed blissfully unaware of the action on the ice, preferring to keep each other warm in the stands.

Lea Michele spent a restful weekend at the Colony Palms Hotel in Palm Springs, Calif., and immediately went for a bite at the Purple Palm restaurant after arriving. The Glee star ordered a snack, which she ate poolside, along with a cheese plate.
After her meal, Michele hit up the Jacuzzi, where she relaxed before dinner.
The next day, it was back to the pool, where Michele sprawled out on a day bed and drank a Bloody Mary before indulging in a custom Swedish massage before heading home.

There's a reason you don't see Lea Michele stumbling out of clubs. After her grueling days on the Glee set, the actress prefers to hit the couch with her cat.
"Do I have a wild side? Well, I do have 14 tattoos," the actress tells Prestige Hong Kong.
"But I also do come home every single night and watch reality TV with my cat. I'd say for the most part I'm a very outgoing person. I have a lot of energy. I love being around people. But I'm not wild in the sense of 'going out' wild."

Not in real life, but on Monday the actress, 25, posted a photo of herself wearing a wedding gown surrounded by her costars in bridesmaid dresses, hinting at what could be to come on Glee's winter finale Tuesday night.
"In anticipation of tomorrow's very memorable episode, we took this photo," Michele Tweeted Monday, accompanied by the shot that looks like the poster for the hit movie Bridesmaids. "We call it GLEE-MAIDS."

Lea Michele caught a red eye from California just to make it in time for Jennifer Lopez's emotional concert at Connecticut's Mohegan Sun. The newly single Glee star was spotted near the stage, snacking on nachos and dancing with her friend. Afterward, she went backstage to hang out in Lopez's dressing room. Lea Michele and her Glee costars Jane Lynch, Chris Colfer and more – took in the scene at Fox and FX's post-Emmy bash at Fig & Olive in West Hollywood. Guests – such as first-time Emmy winner Margo Martindale and Modern Family's Ty Burrell and Jesse Tyler Ferguson – filled the restaurant and a massive tent next door and nibbled on Mediterranean-inspired food such as filet mignon, ratatouille, asparagus in olive oil, seafood paella and goat cheese gnocchi.

After more than a year together, Lea Michele and Broadway actor Theo Stockman have called it quits.
A rep for the Glee star, 25, says the relationship simply ran its course. "They will always be friends," adds the rep.
Stockman and Michele started dating after they were spotted at an April 2010 event in New York celebrating Time's 100 Most Influential People issue.
