Leelee Sobieski's Childlike Cravings

Expecting her first child later this year, Leelee Sobieski has a theory when it comes to her pregnancy cravings.
"I think I like eating what little kids eat," Sobieski told PEOPLE at the season opening of the Metropolitan Opera on Monday in New York City.
Chowing down frequently on macaroni and cheese, Sobieski, 27, says that she is preparing for the baby by doing two things: relaxing and eating lots of ice cream. However the Joan of Arc actress is unable to eat as much of the frosty treat as she used to.
"I eat less ice cream now than I did before because the baby takes up space," she explained.

Emmy-nominated actress Leelee Sobieski and her fashion designer fiancé Adam Kimmel are poised for first-time parenthood, a rep for the Joan of Arc star confirms to PEOPLE.
The "thrilled" couple – who announced their engagement in June – are expecting the baby in December.
Sobieski, 27, has modeled for Kimmel's Fall/Winter 2009 look book, and most recently appeared in this summer's Public Enemies alongside Johnny Depp; She can next be seen in The Mad Cow opposite Jeffrey Tambor.

Leelee Sobieski Gets Engaged

Leelee Sobieski is engaged to fashion designer Adam Kimmel, her rep confirms to PEOPLE.
The 27-year-old Joan of Arc actress was spotted wearing a sparkler on her ring finger at the Public Enemies premiere in L.A. in June.
No other details about the engagement were released.
Sobieski, who recently wrapped up production on the drama The Mad Cow, has modeled for her fiancé's Fall/Winter 2009 look book.

March 10, 2004ART & CRAFT Actress Leelee Sobieski plays the naïve Cecile de Volanges in an upcoming remake of the classic French novel Dangerous Liaisons (airing March 15 and 16 on the Women's Entertainment cable channel), but acting isn't Sobieski's only gig. The New York native is also a visual arts major at prestigious Brown University. So, will she gather her classmates for a dorm viewing party? "Oh no, no, no," she tells Daily Insider. "I never want them to see my work. I want them to know me for me, and not for my work." When she's not acting, Sobieski paints – and though she has a parakeet named Picasso, her main influence is closer to home. "My work kind of resembles my dad's work," says Sobieski, 21, of her abstract painting. "He's a painter, and I grew up with his paintings all around me, so my main visual input happened to have been his work."
