Leighton Meester Snuggles with Adam Brody in Venice

New couple Leighton Meester and Adam Brody stepped out for an early dinner in Venice, Calif., on Thursday evening.
Just after 6 p.m., Brody – who wore a red sweatshirt – and Meester – who dressed in an oversized cardigan – met up with a pal at La Fiesta Brava, a local Mexican restaurant.
An onlooker tells PEOPLE that both Brody and Meester ordered enchiladas while chatting about film with their friend. "She sipped on a Mexican coke and sat back smiling and listening to the boys," the source adds.

It looks like Leighton Meester is getting a taste of Orange County, Calif.
The former Gossip Girl star, 26, who has been an N.Y.C. staple, is dating former The O.C. star Adam Brody, 33, sources confirm to PEOPLE.
Reps for the actors have not commented, and both have kept their private lives out of the spotlight over the years.

The series finale of Gossip Girl, which aired Monday on the CW, had it all: two weddings (Blair marries Chuck; Serena marries Dan), two stunning wedding gowns (powder blue, beaded Elie Saab Couture on B, and a gold and white strapless Georges Chakra Couture on S), cameo appearances by New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg, Rachel Bilson and Kristen Bell (as themselves, reading the roles of Blair and Serena from a script written by Dan), the return of Jenny Humphrey (briefly!) and the reveal of Gossip Girl's identity. And it's not Dorota.
The person behind the mysterious blog that has kept tabs on the Upper East Side's elite was not a girl at all – it was Brooklyn's very own Dan Humphrey (Penn Badgley).

Leighton Meester hosted a party in the Big Apple for Music Unites and Roger Vivier's new fall-winter collection. The Gossip Girl star was an a "delightful mood," an onlooker says, as she snapped pictures with partygoers. "She was a fantastic hostess." Looks like the cast of Gossip Girl is – wait for it – quacking up!
While shooting scenes for The CW drama's upcoming fifth season, Leighton Meester mingled with a local duck at New York's Central Park Wednesday.
The actress was later joined by costar Ed Westwick, who shared some screen time of his own with the brown bird. Lately, Westwick has mostly been accompanied on set by the show's newest addition, a dog. Things are becoming a real animal house on the Upper East Side!

Leighton Meester has sued her mother Constance for spending money on herself – money that the actress had been sending for the care of her brother Alexander, who has medical issues.
Constance Meester used the $7,500 a month for cosmetic procedures, among other personal expenses, the suit alleges.
"This whole thing's been really tough on Leighton," a source tells PEOPLE. "Her only concern has always been taking care of her brother. Leighton's really close with her brother and her dad – her parents are divorced. Leighton's a sweet girl – she cares about work, friends and family."
