"If I take this off, does the $10,000 become $20,000?" he asks DeGeneres before taking off the robe.

Liam Neeson's Hangover 2 Cameo Gets Cut
Originally posted 04/10/2011 02:10PM
The replacement has been replaced.
Liam Neeson, who stepped in to film a cameo in The Hangover 2 for a role first given to – and then taken away from – Mel Gibson, has now been replaced due to scheduling conflicts.
The scene filmed by Neeson, 58, was cut out of the movie and is now being re-shot with actor/director Nick Cassavetes playing the role – but it's not personal, director Todd Phillips tells Variety.
Phillips says that he cut the scene immediately following Neeson's cameo while editing The Hangover 2, creating a gap in the sequence of events. Phillips decided to re-shoot the scene – but Neeson was already busy in London shooting the follow-up to Clash of the Titans.

Liam Neeson: I Survived Natasha's Death by 'Running Away'
Originally posted 02/15/2011 06:30PM
At first, Liam Neeson didn't know how to cope with the grief that hit him after the death of his wife, Natasha Richardson.
"I think I survived by running away some. Running away to work," Neeson, 58, says in the March issue of Esquire, on newsstands Feb. 22.
But the distraction only helped for so long. "That's the weird thing about grief," he adds. "You can't prepare for it. You think you're gonna cry and get it over with. You make those plans, but they never work."

Liam Neeson Loves Being an Action Star
Originally posted 02/12/2011 10:00AM
At 58 years old, many people are already dreaming of retirement – but not Liam Neeson, who has lately become a bankable action star.
"I seem to have gotten a new lease on life since Taken was so successful," Neeson told reporters Saturday at a press junket for his upcoming action-thriller Unknown.
As a victim of amnesia and identity theft, Neeson's character finds himself in many precarious situations that include a lot of hand-to-hand combat.
Neeson – an amateur boxer in his teens – didn't even regard the fight scenes as stunts. He called the choreographed "scrappy" battles a "wonderful ballet."

Liam Neeson: Mel Gibson's 'Cool' with Me Taking Hangover 2 Role
Originally posted 11/11/2010 09:45AM
It's not going to be the clash of the Hollywood titans some may have expected.
According to Liam Neeson, Mel Gibson doesn't harbor any hard feelings about being replaced by Neeson in a Hangover 2 cameo.
When he was offered a shot at the role, which was first reported to be that of a Bangkok tattoo artist, Neeson says he "didn't realize" it had originally gone to Gibson but eventually had a "very pleasant" conversation with his fellow actor about it.
"I spoke to Mel," he told Access Hollywood Tuesday at the premiere for his new film The Next Three Days. "Mel's cool about it. We're all cool."

Hangover 2 Director: Mel Gibson Would Have Disrupted Film's 'Family'
Originally posted 10/26/2010 02:35PM
Mel Gibson's proposed cameo in The Hangover 2 wasn't meant to be, according to director Todd Phillips. But his abrupt departure from the project isn't any one person's fault, either.
"The Hangover 2 is a family ... and as much as I loved the idea, a lot of people didn't," Phillips told Entertainment Tonight of his cast and crew. "I didn't want anything to come in between that family."
Shortly after news of Gibson's cameo as a Bangkok tattoo artist emerged, Phillips announced the appearance was canceled – and Liam Neeson quickly replaced Gibson in the role.

How do you cure a hangover? Call in the A–Team.
Liam Neeson is now doing a cameo in The Hangover 2 after Mel Gibson's appearance got canceled due to complaints by cast and crew. Neeson was invited by his A-Team costar Bradley Cooper, who's also in the Hangover sequel.
"I just got a call to do a one-day shoot on Hangover 2 as a tattooist in Thailand, and that's all I know about it," Neeson tells Daily Variety. "I just laughed my leg off when I saw The Hangover, I was shooting in Berlin earlier this year and rented it on the hotel TV."
