From an adult film star to a technological genius, the icons portrayed in Jobs and Lovelace could not be more different – but their biopics have something in common: They both hit theaters this summer, one week apart.
Lovelace, which stars Amanda Seyfried, portrays the life of porn great, Linda "Lovelace" Boreman, who broke free from her abusive manager-boyfriend and helped prevent other women from getting similarly exploited in that world. It opens this weekend.

When it came to filming the more risqué scenes for the biopic Lovelace, Amanda Seyfried had no problem with the nudity involved.
"It's funny, because I felt liberated when I was doing it," the actress, 27, told reporters at the movie's Los Angeles press day. "I'm sure people that are very protective of me wouldn't feel very comfortable with that, but it's like, what's the big deal?"
Seyfried, who plays legendary porn star Linda Lovelace in the film – it opens Aug. 9 – doesn't see anything wrong with showing a little skin onscreen.

"They're pumped ... They're excited – my parents, particularly, which is sort of perverse, but great. They're proud of their little porn star."
Adam Brody, telling PEOPLE how his friends and family feel about his role as the late Harry Reems, star of 1972 pornographic cult classic Deep Throat, at the premiere of the biopic Lovelace, at New York City's Museum of Modern Art on Tuesday night. Playing porn star Linda Lovelace seems to have set Amanda Seyfried free from her inhibitions – at least when talking about sex.
"Everybody I've dated I've been sexually attracted to immediately," the star of the new biopic Lovelace tells ELLE for its August issue, on newsstands July 23.
"Sparks don't grow – your vagina doesn't become more inclined to wanting someone just because you're around them."

Harry Reems, the Bronx-born, boy-next-door porn star of the 1970s, died Tuesday after a lengthy battle with pancreatic cancer, according to The Hollywood Reporter. He was 65.
Reems, who had been living in Park City, Utah, passed away in a VA hospital in Salt Lake City, a longtime pal confirms.
Born Herbert Streicher, the superstud of a dozen major hard-core movies made over 40 years ago, including the groundbreaking Deep Throat, was the only American actor ever to be convicted of obscenity.

Amanda Seyfried has worked with a lot of good-looking men, but there's one in particular who rises to the top of her list.
"Channing [Tatum] was amazing. He's a superstar," the actress, 27, tells the January issue of InStyle about PEOPLE's 2012 Sexiest Man Alive.
Seyfried, who starred opposite Tatum in 2010's Dear John, is well-aware of her former costar's appeal.

Is a new romance – dare we say, puppy love – in Amanda Seyfried's life?
The In Time star, 26, was spotted in Los Angeles Friday morning with Dexter's Desmond Harrington, 34.
Sporting workout duds and rival baseball caps (Detroit Tigers for him; N.Y. Yankees for her), they were accompanied by Seyfried's rescue dog, Finn.
Their hike together comes after Seyfried and Black Hawk Down star Josh Hartnett cooled things down earlier this summer.

Talk about a revealing first look!
Amanda Seyfried is stripping down to her bra for her newest film role – as famous '70s adult film star Linda Lovelace in the biopic Lovelace, due out later in the year.
The 26-year-old actress, who's been spotted recently getting cozy with Josh Hartnett, is also going brunette for the role as evidenced by a movie poster, which was just released.
The film also stars Sarah Jessica Parker, who's playing feminist Gloria Steinem, new dad Peter Sarsgaard and James Franco, who's set to play Hugh Hefner.

The Linda Lovelace biopic has a new Gloria Steinem.
Sarah Jessica Parker will replace Demi Moore as the feminist author and activist.
Moore, 49, dropped out of Lovelace, starring Amanda Seyfried as the '70s porn star, after Moore was hospitalized this week.
A 911 caller reported the actress had gone into convulsions after she "smoked something." Moore is now seeking "professional assistance to treat her exhaustion and improve her overall health," he rep says.
Filming began last month in Los Angeles.

Can one troubled movie star have insight into another? Producers of an upcoming film about the 1970s porn scene hope so – reportedly signing up Lindsay Lohan to play famed adult star Linda Lovelace.
"We've all thought that Lindsay would be a great choice for a while now, and we're all convinced that she is going to do it," says Inferno producer Wali Razaqi, who confirmed the casting choice to the Los Angeles Times. "For at least a year, the director [Matthew Wilder] and I have gone back and forth imagining how awesome of a performance she could give if she was in the movie."
