Lindsay Lohan Describes Her Father as a 'Lunatic'

Lindsay Lohan has taken to Twitter to slam her dad Michael, following reports that he is seeking conservatorship over her, and that he's offered an entertainment TV show tape-recorded conversations between himself and his ex-wife, Dina, in which they discuss their daughter's well-being.

"My father is a lunatic & doesn't even deserve such a title since he's never been around in my life other than when he'd threaten me & my family," Tweeted Lindsay, who just finished shooting the thriller Machete opposite Robert DeNiro. "He should be where he has always put himself after verbally abusing and physically abusing people all my life-behind bars."

Lindsay, 23, also wrote that her sister Ali, 15, is also concerned about their father's behavior. "It's so sad to get a phone call from my baby sister just now asking, 'why is daddy doing this?' Through tears. He's crossed the lines & hurt me & my family 4 the last time."

Burglary Suspect's Dad: Daughter Caught Up in 'Bad Situation'

In the unfolding case of the teenage burglary gang – suspected of breaking into A-list celebrity homes in Los Angeles – one parent says his daughter is no professional thief.

"She was in the wrong place at the wrong time, associating with the wrong people," Mikel Neiers tells PEOPLE of his daughter, Alexis, 18. "She got sucked into this. We're standing by her. I'm sure [the case against her is] going to be thrown out of court."

Alexis Neiers was one of four teenage girls arrested Thursday in a sting operation by LAPD detectives. A fifth suspect, Roy Lopez, 27, was also detained.

A source close to the case says the group is linked to burglaries at the homes of Paris Hilton, Lindsay Lohan, Orlando Bloom, and Audrina Patridge.

Reached for comment, Alexis's attorney Jeffery Rubenstein stated, "I expect my client will be fully vindicated when all the facts of the case come out. At this time, no formal charges have been filed against her. When the time is right, she will tell her side of the story."

INSIDE STORY: From High School Students to Celebrity Burglars

Originally posted 10/24/2009 05:45PM

By all appearances Rachel Lee, Diana Tamayo and Nicholas Prugo were typical teenagers, living in and around the affluent community of Calabasas, Calif., which is home to many Hollywood stars.

But according to authorities and sources, these teens and their circle of friends had a darker side – having launched into a year-long crime spree that targeted celebrities including Lindsay Lohan, Paris Hilton, Audrina Patridge and Orlando Bloom in which thousands of dollars of designer clothes, jewelry, bags and other luxury items were taken.

All fingers point to 19-year-old Lee as the alleged ringleader, who had an apparent fascination with Hollywood fashion. In a sting operation Thursday, Lee, Tamayo, 19, Courtney Ames, 18, Alexis Neiers, 18, and Roy Lopez, Jr., 27, were all arrested in connection to the crimes. Nicholas Prugo, 18, was arrested last month and has been formally accused of the Lohan and Patridge burglaries. The gang allegedly located the addresses of celebrities using Hollywood star maps and the Internet, and calculated when the stars wouldn't be home based on their appearance schedules, a source close to the case tells PEOPLE.

A California woman apparently so envied the glitz and glamour of young Hollywood stars that she quite literally stole their looks.

Rachel J. Lee, 19, arrested along with several other women Thursday in a sting operation, is believed to be the mastermind behind recent break-ins at the homes of Paris Hilton, Lindsay Lohan, Audrina Patridge and Orlando Bloom, a source close to the case tells PEOPLE.

Described as having an obsessive fascination with celebrity fashion, Lee and her accomplices easily located the addresses of celebrities using Hollywood star maps and the Internet, and calculated when the stars wouldn't be home based on their appearance schedules.

The suspected burglar caught on video breaking into the homes of Lindsay Lohan and Audrina Patridge has been formally charged with two felonies, Los Angeles prosecutors announced Tuesday.

If convicted, Calabasas, Calif. native Nicholas Prugo, 18, faces up to six years in state prison. He was arrested last month and is free on $100,000 bail.

Prugo is accused of breaking into Patridge's house on Feb. 23 and allegedly taking more than $43,000 in jewelry and designer clothes. Lohan's home was burglarized on Aug. 23 and an estimated $128,000 in jewelry, designer clothes and accessories were taken.

A source close to the case says two more accomplices, including 19-year-old suspect Rachel J. Lee, may be charged soon.

Prugo's attorney, Sean G. Erenstoft, wasn't immediately available for comment.

Prugo is expected to enter a plea on Nov. 12.
