Ex-BFF: Lindsay Lohan Shows 'What Not to Do'
Originally posted 11/18/2009 06:15PM
Young Hollywood, take note: Lindsay Lohan is no role model – even for those living in the fastest of lanes.
So says her former BFF, socialite Courtenay Semel, in a candid interview in the upcoming December issue of Curve, a magazine for the lesbian community, in which she details her relationship with the troubled starlet.
Semel, who had a stint in rehab herself earlier this year, says, "I always said you'll never see me get a DUI, you'll never see me falling drunk out of a club, you'll never see me get arrested, you'll never see that side of me and unfortunately, it did happen. I did take responsibility for my actions. ... But, at the same time, I think, you know, everyone scrutinizes, Lindsay for everything she went through, but they should thank her, because it shows you exactly what not to do."

Lindsay Lohan Balks at Picking Up the Bill
Originally posted 11/14/2009 10:05AM
Hide your valuables and lock up your liquor: Is that the warning that should herald a visit from Lindsay Lohan? Based on her reputation for having allegedly sticky fingers – with the latest claim from a bar that was nearly left holding the bill for bottles of bubbly – that may not be such a bad idea.
Lohan, 23, was partying at the Crown Bar in Los Angeles Nov. 6, and, according to one onlooker, caused quite a scene when asked to ante up for her drinks.
"Lindsay stormed into the kitchen and grabbed two bottles of really expensive champagne. She finished both bottles with a friend. When the bartender gave her a bill, she had a meltdown," says the source. "She was yelling at him and screaming profanities at everyone. The bar insisted she pay, so she had to call a friend with her credit-card information."

Burglary Gang Found Doors Unlocked at Celeb Homes
Originally posted 11/08/2009 09:30AM
While some Hollywood stars are vigilant about guarding their private lives, others are apparently leaving doors wide open.
Suspects in the teen burglary gang – who allegedly made off with more than $3 million in jewelry, clothes and other luxury goods from the homes of Lindsay Lohan, Paris Hilton, Megan Fox and at least five other celebrities – gained entry to the homes mainly by finding doors unlocked, according to a search warrant released in the case.
The stars' security was lax in other ways: At Lohan's residence, the suspects broke in by prying open a window using a screwdriver, the documents say. The gang allegedly used basic internet research to figure out where celebrities lived, when they weren't in town, and then watched the homes for the opportune moment to break in.

Lindsay Lohan's Dad Says God Is Punishing Her
Originally posted 11/06/2009 11:25AM
The ugly war of words between Michael and Lindsay Lohan shows no signs of cooling off. Michael has released another audio tape, accusing his daughter of lying – and wasting her God-given talent.
On Thursday, Lindsay claimed on her Twitter page that Michael used to threaten to kill his then-wife Dina, Lindsay's mother, if she left him. Michael responded with a denial in an interview with New York Post Friday.
"That's a lie," he says. "I guess Lindsay is on more drugs than I thought to say something like that … No wonder why God is taking her entire career away from her. Because she's forsaken everything He's given her and she's done nothing but misuse all the gifts she's given."

Lindsay Lohan Describes Her Father as a 'Lunatic'
Originally posted 11/01/2009 12:35PM
Lindsay Lohan has taken to Twitter to slam her dad Michael, following reports that he is seeking conservatorship over her, and that he's offered an entertainment TV show tape-recorded conversations between himself and his ex-wife, Dina, in which they discuss their daughter's well-being.
"My father is a lunatic & doesn't even deserve such a title since he's never been around in my life other than when he'd threaten me & my family," Tweeted Lindsay, who just finished shooting the thriller Machete opposite Robert DeNiro. "He should be where he has always put himself after verbally abusing and physically abusing people all my life-behind bars."
Lindsay, 23, also wrote that her sister Ali, 15, is also concerned about their father's behavior. "It's so sad to get a phone call from my baby sister just now asking, 'why is daddy doing this?' Through tears. He's crossed the lines & hurt me & my family 4 the last time."

Burglary Suspect's Dad: Daughter Caught Up in 'Bad Situation'
Originally posted 10/26/2009 06:45PM
In the unfolding case of the teenage burglary gang – suspected of breaking into A-list celebrity homes in Los Angeles – one parent says his daughter is no professional thief.
"She was in the wrong place at the wrong time, associating with the wrong people," Mikel Neiers tells PEOPLE of his daughter, Alexis, 18. "She got sucked into this. We're standing by her. I'm sure [the case against her is] going to be thrown out of court."
Alexis Neiers was one of four teenage girls arrested Thursday in a sting operation by LAPD detectives. A fifth suspect, Roy Lopez, 27, was also detained.
A source close to the case says the group is linked to burglaries at the homes of Paris Hilton, Lindsay Lohan, Orlando Bloom, and Audrina Patridge.
Reached for comment, Alexis's attorney Jeffery Rubenstein stated, "I expect my client will be fully vindicated when all the facts of the case come out. At this time, no formal charges have been filed against her. When the time is right, she will tell her side of the story."

INSIDE STORY: From High School Students to Celebrity Burglars
Originally posted 10/24/2009 05:45PM
By all appearances Rachel Lee, Diana Tamayo and Nicholas Prugo were typical teenagers, living in and around the affluent community of Calabasas, Calif., which is home to many Hollywood stars.
But according to authorities and sources, these teens and their circle of friends had a darker side – having launched into a year-long crime spree that targeted celebrities including Lindsay Lohan, Paris Hilton, Audrina Patridge and Orlando Bloom in which thousands of dollars of designer clothes, jewelry, bags and other luxury items were taken.
All fingers point to 19-year-old Lee as the alleged ringleader, who had an apparent fascination with Hollywood fashion. In a sting operation Thursday, Lee, Tamayo, 19, Courtney Ames, 18, Alexis Neiers, 18, and Roy Lopez, Jr., 27, were all arrested in connection to the crimes. Nicholas Prugo, 18, was arrested last month and has been formally accused of the Lohan and Patridge burglaries. The gang allegedly located the addresses of celebrities using Hollywood star maps and the Internet, and calculated when the stars wouldn't be home based on their appearance schedules, a source close to the case tells PEOPLE.
